Pours a very slightly hazy delicious golden orange, a with few floaties in the glass and a single stream of bubbles. Nice just off white 2 finger head reduces quickly to a foamy bubbly collar with good lace.
Smells exotic with tropical fruits, loads of mango, touch of pineapple or star fruit. A dank pine and candy malt base with some grapefruit citrus and hint of spice.

Loads of soft fruits up front maybe not as much as the nose would suggest. Mango and grapefruit. Increadebly well balanced as most Hill Farmsteads are. A nice hops bitter comes through in the middle and gives a little snappy balance to the soft fruits. The snap is a bit dry and lingers into a grapefruit skin finish. Candy malts and pine become more apparent as the beer warms. Not a hint of alchohol cmes through.
Feel is soft and luxurious overall with a dry snappy hop balance just the right amount of carbonation in this medium to full body beer. (925 characters)

A little more bitter on the finish than I've come to expect from HF, and the billing was for strong citrus notes. This came out much more piney and resinous than anything else. All in all still a good IIPA, just a little off the mark of what I was expecting. (258 characters)

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Clear golden orange. Decent white head. Good collar and nice retention.

Smell - Simcoe-y. Grapefruit and a little bit of that onion to it. Malty with a doughy sweetness.

Taste - Bright citrus and some pale malt sweetness. The grapefruit builds up to an almost pithy grapefruit flavor. Bitter lingering flavor.

Mouthfeel - Medium to medium heavy. Sweet and bitter. Medium low carbonation.

Overall - Missing the Society magic, I think.

Edit: Had a second growler and it had the Society magic. Rating altered due to magic. (577 characters)
