Another variation on their Single Malt IPA, this one using a new experimental hop called Azacca.
A: Cloudy yellow-orange shade with a snow white head. Good retention.
S: Bright and potent citrus hops jump out of the glass. Lots of pineapple, papaya, and a little tangerine. Highly aromatic hops block out malt completely.
T: Very nice hop flavors. A little tropical fruit shows, but much heavier on the grapefruit than in aroma. Bitterness is strong but not over-the-top. Bready malt shows underneath. Seems to have lost a bit here over a week in the growler compared to the in the taproom. Finishes with a dry and very resiny bitterness.
M: Has soft, smooth mouthfeel typical of standard recipe. Medium body with moderate carbonation.
Had a sample of this at the brewery and was so impressed that an extra growler made its way home. Fantastic new hop! Amazing aroma. My only minor complaint with this beer would be to ease off the bittering addition a bit with this type of hop. But I think I like this even better than the standard Single Malt.

This is the first time knowingly consuming this hop. Quite refreshing with a lite mouth feel, would be a nice summer day brew. Still very enjoyable in the dead of winter. Taste is very fruity, a little sweetness, weedy! Smells just like it tastes. Ordered on a whim before closing, and was pleased for sure. Would be glad to drink again. Well Done.
