Went here with my wife for my birthday and had a great time. Sunday night during stampede it was pretty busy with a few kids running. The beer list wasn't the biggest but everything was quality, I had a Last Best IPA from the tap and a bottle of Old Rasputin served at cellar temp, mix of locals, imports, a few Trappists, everyone would find something good. Our server was young but did a pretty good job and was very .friendly and paid attention to us. The highlight was the food for sure, fresh oysters, and sausage for appetizers, my wife had a skirt steak and I had boar brisket and it was incredible. I knew Charcut had a great reputation for quality meat and I assure you its well deserved, fantastic meal. Not a cheap bill at 200$ but I didn't feel ripped off in any way but more of a special occasion kinda place for middle class folks like me. Overall I had a very positive experience and would recommend this place to anyone who likes meat and beer.

I've been wanting to visit this establishment for some time since reading about it in the Canadian forum a while back. This was only further fueled by one of the Owner's participation on Top Chef Canada. First of all, the atmosphere is great, offering up a stylish and cozy feel with some class. The beer menu was nothing to sneeze at either, offering a wide range of Canadian craft offerings, and a great selection of European ales. I opted for a Chouffe Dubbelen IPA Tripel, and was certainly pleased with it. The menu offers up quality locally procured offerings, and has something for everyone. It's family style dining, where you order your main along with sides to share. The appetizers were superb (we had the smoked pork croquettes), and i can imagine the rest of them are just as tasty. I would certainly go again for dinner, but I'm even more inclined to simply go for a drink at the bar with a side of duck fat poutine! Yum!
