Our take on a pre-prohibition style pilsner; fuller in body with a distinct, spicy hop presence. Next time you get that middle seat on a cross-country red-eye, this may keep you from clobbering that kid who keeps kicking the back of your seat.

Served on tap in a 22 oz (651 ml) Pilsner glass at Stonehouse, Ranier Ave. South, at the the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Washington.
A: Pours a crystal clear, dark golden color with a thin white head, not even rim retention, and no appreciable lacing.
S: Aromas of dry grass, caramel, bread especially the crust, and maybe a touch of citrus.
T: Dry. Palate follows the nose. Bitterness rather stronger than expected for the style.
M: Medium bodied with persistent carbonation. Drinks very clean.
O: Had it just before flying from Seattle to San Luis Obispo. This is a very nicely designed, enjoyable lager, perfect for that occasion.

Very similar to a German pils. Good hop bitterness, earthy and lemon zest are the main tasting notes. The mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing. My favorite craft Pilsner that I've found so far

16oz can poured into a pint glass. No date on the can. Head is so voluminous, it took many pours to get all the beer in the glass.
It's a pale, light golden color, clear with a huge white head and lots of carbonation. The smell is yeasty, slightly spicy, slightly lemony, familiar lageriness.
It's bitter without being crisp. A bit bland. Some spicyness, more lemon zest.
Mouthfeel is surprisingly creamy. Overall, it's not bad.

Clear golden color with an exuberant sudsy pour in the Ciney snifter. Lots of lacing and frothy on the tongue. Tangy, clean, light bodied with a malty mouthfeel.
This is just a delirium of hoppy flavors and aromatics. Hops are listed as Hallertauer and Saaz with IBUs rated at 30. Hugely aromatic hops with that classic perfumey taste of a good Kölsch or Pilsner. This is rather sweet with grain but it's so nicely balanced with all the hop notes and a welcome bitter aftertaste.
I don't know why this would be classified as an Adjunct Lager. It has more in common with a good German Pilsner than Simpler Times from Trader Joe's. But it would be a good argument for more corn or whatever they use to jack this up. It's still only 5% and such a big mouthful of flavor. I think this is one of my favorite brews of 2014. From the 16 oz can bought at Special Brews in Lynnwood, Washington.
