The colour is deep brown-red, the liquid is clear. The finger thick head is warm beige, it sinks leaving some minimal lacing on the glass.
The smell is smooth with smoky flavours, more like smoked delicatessen than campfire. Some alcohol, some sweet notes of biscuits and a touch of bitterness. Clean and smooth.
The taste is sweet with notes of biscuits and cookies. The smooth smoke is mostly delicatessen, but also some campfire. Very mild clean bitter notes and quite a lot of alcohol. The aftertaste is less smoky with some lightly roasted malty flavours. Some warming alcohol and a touch of iron and minerals in the finish.
The carbonation is medium with small fresh short-lasting bubbles. The liquid is a bit dry and semi-smooth.
A very elegant and balanced rauchbock.

Thanks to Per for sharing this with me.
Pours a hazy dark reddish brown cider color with a creamy off white head. The nose is mainly smokey with notes of malt underneath. The taste is much of the same, very smokey, campfire notes, a bit lactic, soft palate, good carbonation. Fairly simple but not offensively smokey.
