Stopped by for first time for their IPA fest during LA beer week. Had 20 or so taps dedicated to hoppy varieties. Not a huge place but it wasn't a problem on a Sunday afternoon, got the last seats. Nice and cool inside (small outdoor seating section in front also.) a bit of pub atmosphere - shelf with books and games (kids imediatly started to play with), also a pool table and TV's with football on (but not an overwhelming sports feel).

The taps list was more than decent but nothing that I was blown away by either. They had a pre-made tasting flight or you can make your own with any of the beers they served in pints. Beers served in tulips were only available that way. Pricing on the beer was very reasonable.

All ordering is done at the bar, you get a number and your food is delivered to the table. Whole page of the menu dedicated to sausages - both meat and vegan. Also noticed fries salads and sandwiches. Had a Italian sausage with onion, peppers an mustard. no substitutions allowed other than you can switch out the bun for a bed of lettuce. Pretty tasty. Also had tatter tots - also good.

Pretty dead area of Burbank on a Sunday - not sure if I quite get the location or not, but I don't spend a lot of time in Burbank.

Would definitely stop by again - only 10 minutes from the Zoo / Golden road. Kid friendly place (at least in the day).

Pretty much the place to be in Burbank. Great, friendly staff with the right knowledge of craft beer. Great connections with local brewers and tap take overs. Everything you could want in a local place...and of course theres Pliny...

Pliny the Elder on tap. That will get some people through the door.

But there are so many other good beers to be found here. The selection is restricted to California beer, which I suppose is cool, but the problem with that is that Cali (like my home state of New Mexico) loves their IPAs and that can skew the tap list.

What results is a whole page devoted to IPAs, session IPAs and Double IPAs, and then a second page for the other 100+ plus styles of beer in existence. As someone with major IPA-fatigue, this is a bit of a drag. Tony's redeems itself, however, by having that second page chock-full of gems.

My first visit I got a snifter (such a lovely vessel) of Tart of Darkness from The Bruery. I've been wanting to try the beer forever so I was happy to find it on tap. I followed this by getting a pour of Stone's Sublimely Righteous Black IPA, a beer I've never had before because I can never seem to find fresh bottles in New Mexico (and it's never been on tap anywhere). Two scores for me.

I returned on a Sunday with my cousin as I hipped him to the fact that Tony's has football on and wouldn't be too crowded (a complaint my cousin has with many of his local NOHO/Burbank locales). We got there right at 10 and ordered food and beers. It was on this occasion that Pliny was on tap, so of course I started my day with a DIPA. The combo of some decent (not great) food, football, and superb beer is a splendid combo.

In the end, Tony's should be a must-hit if you're in the area.

I think enough has been said on this place and the reviews speak for themselves, but if I could add one thing regarding the service. The service makes this place, the passion and love for craft been makes this place what it is and with that everything else follows. Would not change a thing about this place other than move it to my neighborhood back east (HA!), but since that is not possible I will just continue to enjoy this place on my West Coast trips.

I stopped by here on a trip to the LA area. Great craft beer selection. I came by just to try Pliny the Elder, which I can't get anywhere near where I'm from. They had tons of beers on tap, and the food looked great. Most were ordering a 4 beer sampler kinda deal. We sat around and watched the NFL game on TV at the bar, but if we had got there 20 minutes later we would've had to wait for a table. Cool place.
