This place is awesome, I can't believe I haven't heard of it before! The shop is put together very well for a very long and somewhat narrow shop. On the left is liquor, middle is wine and on the right is a ton of beer. They claim to have every beer that is distributed in Michigan, which is lofty, but I'd say that statement is pretty accurate. I found Dark Horse Double Crooked, that I can't find in my South Bend Area as of right now, Founder's Devil Dancer, lots of Shorts, Avery, Frankenmuth, Bell's, Mount Pleasant, Atwater, Schmohz, and much, much more. The store was pretty much empty when I stopped by, with exception to the guy working the counter, so I had the place to myself. A pretty good lineup of single 12oz to pick and choose, a decent cooler and lots on the shelf. If this wasn't a 45 minute drive, it would be one of my usual places to stop. I hope the locals buy from this place often, as it is a great store to have around!

The wife and I stopped here on our way to the Lake House to pick up some MI beers (shorts, Oddside, etc.) I ended up leaving an extremely happy customer. One of the workers even took me in the back to look at EVERY oddside he had available. I ended up leaving with a 4pk of DH plead the 5th , which I can usually only score a single bottle of in IL. As well as some shorts stuff. And the best kicker of all he even gave me one of his few KBS he had left. I would highly recommend shopping here whether you are a local or even a non-local just traveling through. I know where I will be stopping from now on.

Went here on a recommendation from another shop in search of BCBS 2013. The owner was there and is a great guy. Offered me as much BCBS as I wanted with a very fair price. Also picked up a ton of other goodies. Great place and I will return everytime I am in town.

I first visited the Liquor Cabinet before going to Livery on 10/23/11. After expressing disappointment in my original review, I was contacted by the owner. The owner, Chris, had been in contact with me several times since I wrote the original review. He apologized for the customer service I receive on my first visit, and offered a better experience on my next visit. The contact left a real positive impression with me.

On my visit on 4/1/2013, I was excited to find some more obscure selections such as Odd Side Citra Pale Ale, Shorts Hopstache, and Brewery Vivant Tart Side of the Moon. I even found a four pack of Great Lake Alchemy Hour. And even though I did not need any, they had plenty of Double Crooked Tree in stock at the best price I have seen. I picked up a few singles and spoke with an employ about some of the beers. He seemed knowledgeable and had answers for my questions.

I enjoyed the fact that the pricing displays included BA ratings as well as scores from another site. This is going to be my destination for Michigan beers in the future.

Hit this place up on a recommendation from the manager of Wise Guys in Merrilville IN. He knew I wanted a spling of small breweries and that single bottles would be ideal...

He could not have sent me to a better place.

The singles selection begins on various shelves and tables near the doors and continues on the shelves. There must be 400 different beers available as singles-- almost everything in the shop seems to have a 6 pack broken up and made available.
From Avery to Shorts, Bells to New Holland, and all brews in-between.

The guy working was really friendly and helpful, even talking to me for 15 minutes about different breweries and upcoming releases. He also stepped in back and returned with single bottles of KBS, Oracle, 9000, and 10000--- which I though was cool.

The prices were a touch higher than the other store in town, but the selection makes up for it.
Anytime I'm heading into MI, this will be a for-sure stop.

This is a new establishment that opened last year. It has by far the best selection in town if not the state. The owner was very friendly and helpfull. They have shelf tags from beer advocates that helps me pick out my next beer. I like collecting bottles so having the make your own six pack helps me with my collection. Prices are very reasonable. This is by far my favorite stop for all alcohol. Shorts, Stoudts, Jolly Pumkin, North Coast, Stone, Great Divide, Flying Dog, Dog Fish, Bells, and Great Lakes Are just some of the beers that they have there

This place is fairly new (est. 2009) they have several coolers of craft/import beers, and two full rows of 4/6 packs plus a shelf full of bombers. They have a separate byo6 pack area upfront. Just about every item has a lable with a short description, abv, & beer advocate ratings. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We chatted for a bit about cellaring. Very approachable!

Local craft beers very well represented, several imports were also on display. One endcap has all frambois and lambecs. If I had one issue, it would be that the psuedo-craft (shock top etc.) were mixed in the same cooler as the other craft beers instead of down with the bmc's.

Overall, this is my new go-to place in St Joe...
