This is the standard medium brown color, maybe a touch of red in the body. The head is a creamy, tan colored one nearly a full finger tall. Retention is good and lacing is mostly patchy in pretty good volume.
This is more than just a solid brown, a good beer in a style that can be pretty weak. The aromas and flavors are on the stronger side for a typical brown, pretty layered and well balanced. While it's nothing extraordinarily outside the norm, its strong combination of powdered and milk chocolate notes, an additional caramel sweetness, some underlying nut, and a touch of leaf underneath make for a good beer that won't blow your face off.

Pours brown. Short, thin, off white head fades fast.
Smells caramel malt, light toasted malt, bready. Light nutty, cocoa and a very light hint of cream. Finish is semi dry with a light lingering malt, cocoa and nutty. Medium to Fuller body. Very low carbonation. I think it was lost out of cap. 5 month old.

This is great. Brown ales are my favorites to begin with, but this one is jus tso tasty and smooth, it is easily one of the best I've ever had.

Pours a chestnut brown with a sticky half finger light almond colored head atop.Caramel and bready aromas with a tinge of dark fruit. Not too sweet on the palate with some caramel and toast, some decent drying earthiness keeps the sweetness in check.Somewhat of a no brainer but the light hop profile makes it in my opinion better than an everyday brown ale.

Beautifully dark with a creamy head. Poured from bottle to tulip, aroma of sweet cream, cocoa, nuts, malt. Smooth, a bit sweet, with a bit of a cocoa flavor to the standard brown malt/ dark bread/caramel flavor. Awesome. A brown ale to have again.
