Also picked this one up on the 2014 Midwest reunion tour. As far as coffee beers go, I preferred the bean flicker, but this wasn't bad. Just middling.
Pours brown and black. Not a giant sludge stout thankfully. Kinda tired of those. Beige head 1/3". Brought just as much chocolate and roasted malt aromas as it did coffee, wanted moar coffee.
Taste went mostly the same way, good blend, but I'm a coffee guy, bring it don't just sing it. Just a lighter espresso like vibe moreso than coffee. I like it dark, this didn't seem like much dark coffee. Carbonation good, even if not my favorite kind of coffee stout, it was still plenty drinkable without being a chore. Toffee undercurrent. I think the base beer is a good thing to work with, would like a double coffee version of this. I think that is all that was really lacking here for my tastes, otherwise, decent beer, decent price. Would buy again just so I can get the cardboard.

Poured 12oz bottle into snifter. Color is black oil with a 1 finger light tan head. Fades away and leaved behind minimal lacing. Aroma is chocolate, almost a Hershey syrup with some mocha and roasted malts. Flavor is like a chocolate espresso, but not as intense. Feel is medium smooth with ample carbonation. Enjoyable and more of the chocolate than coffee stout.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours black in color with a thin foamy khaki colored head that eventually disappears completely, leaving nothing behind
S- aromas of mocha espresso up front, with undertones of dark chocolate, nutty fudge, tootsie rolls, lactose & vanilla cream
T- taste follows aroma with a hit of mocha espresso up front, followed by earthy roasted malt that gives flavors of dark chocolate. Mid-palate is sweet and creamy, adding some lactose notes and a touch of vanilla. The finish gives earthy coffee with a linger of chocolate
M- light body and light carbonation leads to a slick mouthfeel that continues into the finish
O- nice chocolate and coffee throughout, only downside if mouthfeel is very thin

Pours dark black with a small head that dissipates quickly. Plenty of chocolate aroma, some coffee but the chocolate dominates. Taste is chocolate, chocolate and then some, especially the first sip or two. Coffee perks up after a while and plenty of hop bitterness with some citrus as well. Kind of grows on you but maybe a little to much chocolate or just not the right mix with the hops. Robust mouth and relatively easy drinking. I don't like a lot of carbonation and this is about right. Taste lingers a bit but not bad. Overall, a good beer to try but probably not going to get a second chance from me. Odd Sides continues to make beers I like trying but, more often than not, don't go back to.

Pours dark brown, thick and chewy coating the glass. Smell is of chocolate, coffee, some spice, and caramel. Dark chocolate, malts, coffee beans, toffee. Layers of flavor and it gets better as it warms. Solid brew.
