A: Very dark brown-black with a fair dark brown head on top.

S: An inviting aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, and coffee in that order.

T: Coffee comes in first and is followed by a nutmeg overload. Cinnamon comes next. Pepper heat is quite low by my taste, but it is noticeable. Aftertaste is a lingering spiciness (from the spices). Honestly, the coffee does not work overly well with the spices and pepper.

M: Could stand to have some more body.

O: If you're going to put mocha in the name of your beer, you need to have coffee and CHOCOLATE. Having chocolate in this beer would improve it by leaps and bounds, as it would compliment the coffee and pepper very well and keep the spices from being too cloying. Hopefully we will see another version of this from Oddside with chocolate. That would be a great beer.

My first review so this will be brief and echo others....pours with a thin head which was a little surprising. Great chocolate and spice flavors with a perfect amount, for me, of Habanero on the back end. Very interesting drink that grows on you. Only negative, as others have noted, is the watery mouthfeel. Maybe not a go to beer that you always have on hand but certainly one to try and to savor on occasion.

A- Dark as a starless night with a creamy light brown almost peanut butter like color head. The head quickly dissipates, quite a bit of carbonation on this one.

S- Roast coffee, chocolate, nutmeg, a spiciness of chili powder?

TM- taste is of a bitter chocolate with coffee undertones throughout. Can pick up the nutmeg, not getting much cinnamon as in the description on the bottle. Definetly get a hint of heat in this one in the beginning from the hot peppers that are nicely incorporated in this beer. The mouthfeel is a little thin for my liking in a stout but this beer is very well balanced. It has a lot of flavor but is not overwhelming complex to the point that it would be difficult to throw back several of these.

Overall this is a unique and flavorful stout that is well balanced and very drinkable. Worth giving a shot if you like unique stouts

I really can't believe that this isn't rated higher. I was originally thinking that this is one of those perfect beervana moments, but the more I keep drinking this beer, the more I really like it. Appearance is like any other stout-dark and opaque with a small amount of head. Smells of chocolate, light coffee roast, and a hint of cinnamon. Tastes of chocolate, cinnamon and on the back end, the perfect amount of heat. Mouthfeel is moderate. Overall, I love this beer. I wish it would have more body and little bit more sweetness, but this is a terrific beer as it stands. Must get more.

12 oz. bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Black body. Small khaki head. Very thin collar.

Smell - Graham cracker, which is clearly from the cinnamon. Chocolate. A little pepper.

Taste - Peppers are stronger. A faint burn, too. Chocolate and cinnamon, although the cinnamon is a bit overwhelmed by the pepper.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. Not a heavy stout at all.

Overall - Nice adjuncts, even if they overpower the beer.
