Nice look. Hearty dark brown, nearly black, a little bit of light comes in around the edges. Creamy brown head with good retention.

Not much in the nose. Good coffee, a little sour, not a lot going on.

Taste is quite good. The label claims Dutch chocolate coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg and habaneros. Surprisingly, I'm able to detect all of those, some more than others. It's an excellent balance of coffee, spices, and a hot pepper finish. The habanero and coffee are the key elements for me, I'd like to see more coffee/chile stouts out there. I'd like more nutmeg since I'm a nutmeg fiend, but it seems like that and the cinnamon are there more for balance than anything else. Maybe some vanilla would be nice. In general, it tastes just like what it claims. If it was a big imperial stout or something it might be better, but the hot finish and coffee up front make a very delicious combination. I actually kept changing my taste rating, from 4.0 up to 4.5. I've had a few of these and I just realized tonight how good it truly is. The interplay between the roasted/chocolatey coffee and the peppers is pretty incredible. I absolutely love the tasteful but assertive heat it leaves on my lips.

Medium body, just right for a non-imperial stout. Light enough to be drinkable for the lower ABV, but heavy enough that it wouldn't be mistaken for a porter. Just enough thickness to bring home the intended flavors.

It's ironic that I realized this beer's true power after it disappeared from shelves. $12 for a sixer isn't the best price, but still pretty fair. It's not quite in the same league, but this tastes like a satisfying little brother of Prairie Bomb! Definitely get it if you see it on the shelf.

A- Dark as a starless night with a creamy light brown almost peanut butter like color head. The head quickly dissipates, quite a bit of carbonation on this one.

S- Roast coffee, chocolate, nutmeg, a spiciness of chili powder?

TM- taste is of a bitter chocolate with coffee undertones throughout. Can pick up the nutmeg, not getting much cinnamon as in the description on the bottle. Definetly get a hint of heat in this one in the beginning from the hot peppers that are nicely incorporated in this beer. The mouthfeel is a little thin for my liking in a stout but this beer is very well balanced. It has a lot of flavor but is not overwhelming complex to the point that it would be difficult to throw back several of these.

Overall this is a unique and flavorful stout that is well balanced and very drinkable. Worth giving a shot if you like unique stouts

I really can't believe that this isn't rated higher. I was originally thinking that this is one of those perfect beervana moments, but the more I keep drinking this beer, the more I really like it. Appearance is like any other stout-dark and opaque with a small amount of head. Smells of chocolate, light coffee roast, and a hint of cinnamon. Tastes of chocolate, cinnamon and on the back end, the perfect amount of heat. Mouthfeel is moderate. Overall, I love this beer. I wish it would have more body and little bit more sweetness, but this is a terrific beer as it stands. Must get more.

12 oz. bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Black body. Small khaki head. Very thin collar.

Smell - Graham cracker, which is clearly from the cinnamon. Chocolate. A little pepper.

Taste - Peppers are stronger. A faint burn, too. Chocolate and cinnamon, although the cinnamon is a bit overwhelmed by the pepper.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. Not a heavy stout at all.

Overall - Nice adjuncts, even if they overpower the beer.
