A: black as night with a copper/cream head that subsides quickly

S: roasted coffee with hints of cinnamon with a bit of sweetness

T: subtle toffee taste in a sweetness like a roated marshmellow, roasted coffee to match the aroma, cinnamon and pepper at the back. Not too much heat but just enough to remind you it's there

M: thin body for a stout, more akin to a porter in mouthfeel

O: this is a great pass at the spicy stouts, the flavours all blend together quite well (474 characters)

Sorry, I just didn't like this beer. Two sips and an unfortunate drain pour.

There is definitely a habenero kick to it, which lingers. The other components work against each othe, IMO. The mouthfeel is oddly smooth for a beer with this type of bite on the back end. (267 characters)

a huge shout out goes to jas45678 for including both the BA and regular version of this beer as extras in a recent goandpickitupformebro (believe it or not, this feind had the never to include even more extras). both beers enjoyed side by side from a hunah snifter (regular) and an abraxas snifter (BA).

a - regular version poured with a deep rich black as midnight sludge with a nice off-tan colored head that didn't hang long and left a ring of bubbles on the surface where the glass met the beer. swirling the glass brought it back to life and there was some spotty lace. the bourbon barrel version on the other hand, had a gorgeous shine to it. no head to speak of at all. more ominous...oooh ahhh

s - gorgeous nose. this beer can hang with hunah, mexican cake, the stone xoco...something or other. really great blend in the nose of rich chocolate with just the right amount of cinammon and spicing.

t/m/o - not as full bodied as i expected, but the flavor is there. a wonderful blend of chocolate, spice, coffee, cinnamon and nutmeg. super silky, super smooth...a bit on the thin side, but then again this isn't an imperial stout. great great great beer...definitely seek this out. (1,227 characters)

My first review so this will be brief and echo others....pours with a thin head which was a little surprising. Great chocolate and spice flavors with a perfect amount, for me, of Habanero on the back end. Very interesting drink that grows on you. Only negative, as others have noted, is the watery mouthfeel. Maybe not a go to beer that you always have on hand but certainly one to try and to savor on occasion. (412 characters)

Wonderful stout! Smooth and creamy with not overpowering chocolate flavor and a fantastic yet subtle habanero spice finish. This is as good as it gets!!! (153 characters)
