My first official visit to the Atlantic City boardwalk saw me and my co-worker searching for a good place to eat after a long day in the conference halls. As we traipsed down the wooden planks, a guy wobbling around in a sandwich-board display caught my attention with some tasty-sounding meals scrawled on the front of his poster. A suggestion was made, a decision agreed upon and off we went to the Irish Pub right down the street.

It's a cozy little place with subdued lighting and a low ceiling, creating an intimate feel. We were directed to our seats by a pleasant hostess and attended to by a very nice waitress who was attentive and perky. The food selection is as you would expect from an establishment called "The Irish Pub". Lots of Irish fare, from corned beef and cabbage to shepherd's pie to cod and chips. The hot open-faced beef sandwich I had was very good and my counterpart enjoyed her breaded shrimp and chips.

Beer selection is, unfortunately, standard macro fare. Still, really can't beat getting a pint of Guinness for $2, so I'm not complaining that much. Helped that the food was also so cheap that we were able to have an appetizer, two full course and two glasses of beer each for $40 total. Hard to knock that.

We both liked it so much we went back to grab some grub there again before we left Atlantic City. Cheap, good food with a nice intimate feel and is open 24-hours? We only managed to go there twice, but now that we know it's there, repeat AC visits will definitely feature this place more.

It was on a side street, and kind of out of the way. I walked in through a gift shop. Low ceilings and you can tell it is the real deal. Old posters on the wall, warn tables, chairs, and bar. The standard Irish beers, Stella, Sam Adams on tap. The bartender was a bit stern, but it is understandable. They never close, they tend to get folks that come in at three o'clock that are already drunk. Standard bar food, good, but nothing outstanding. They are cash only, which is always a pain. Decent place, nonetheless.

I was looking at other places in A.C. and seen this one as well I was very surprised BA would have this. My wife and I went here about 1:00 in the morning after the penguins just won the stanley cup. I was looking for something different and yawn nothing I ended up having a bass ale. That seemed to be the only craft or different type of beer on tap. A small little place indeed that kind of smelled funny as well. I did think it was a cool looking little pub it seemed like it was in a basement. Our bartender was quick to make chat and was right on top with refilling.Just a typical bar with very little on tap or taps period.

The Irish Pub in Atlantic City is a must stop for anyone that enjoys going to a bar. If you're reading this, you like bars so stop in. Off the beaten path, this is a landmark in AC. Nice and dark, you'll always find someone in this place, open 24hrs a day!! The beer selection is ok with the standard macros. Food is dirt cheap and tasty. Bar and table service is quick and no nonsense. My only problem is you have no clue what time it is in this place. If you go in for a day session, don't be surprised if it turns into an all-nighter.

While with a few friends for a little gambling in a.c., stopped by this pub which was recommended to us by a couple who frequented the area often... can't say I was too impressed... very hometown feel that seemed to include a lot of regulars and old timers... small selection with not much too choose from, either by way of drink or food... was a bit pricey, but I guess you can expect that when you're down in a tourist spot like atlantic city... service was about average, but nothing to write home about... i'm sure there are much better places to stop at if you're in the area...

I've been to the Pub a handful of times and can honestly say I'm surprised that it's listed here on BA.

Whilst the atmosphere is nice (there's a definite locals/homey vibe to it along with a bit of fun rowdiness at times later in the evening) the beer selection is far from worthy. Off of the top of my head, they've got Guinness, Sam Adams, Sam Seasonal, Bass, Yuengling, Coors Light, Blue Moon, Killian's, etc., i.e. nothing to write home about.

A problem I've noticed (especially in the summer) is that the beers outside are not always what they say on the tap: A Sam Adams might be the Sam Seasonal, a Coors Light might be Blue Moon.

Service is friendly and prompt, but they don't have much to worry about in terms of beer knowledge as there's not much of anything available craft-wise.

Overall, the flaws and minuscule selection aside, this is a fun place to visit and prices are very accommodating to your wallet. I'm sure I'll be back again, just not for the beer selection.

As most of the reviews point out, this place has excellent atmosphere. It's interior is very warm and friendly and the bar has the vibe where you could spend a whole night just hanging out there. Low ceilings and dark wood with old photographs and some breweriana on the walls. I didn't try the food.
The beer selection was average at best. Your typical Irish Pub selection; Guiness, Harp etc. . .
I tried their Victory Anniversary Ale which the bartender said was brewed by Victory Beverage Co. (?) I asked him if that was Victory Brewing in Downingtown, PA and he was just kind of vague. It was okay.
Overall, this would be a great place if it had a better beer selection, but it doesn't.
