I finally got to visit this place last Saturday. It's wonderful! It's small, but comfortable. They have a very nice selection of beers in bottles, but I was impressed with the 16 taps. These taps are constantly changing and they always have a handful of local breweries such as Lockdown, Auburn Ale House and Sierra Nevada. I had a very nice bacon cheeseburger for $8.50 and my friend enjoyed the $10 sausage sampler. I also noticed they do a lot of special events such as brewery visits, happy hours, local beer deals and more. I will visit this place often! They also have one TV and didn't have music on while I was there. It's a place to enjoy good food, beer and conversation.

Nice space, but viciously crowded,so in a way, this little place is falling victim to their own success. 17 beers on tap, primarily Calif breweries, and a great bottle selection. Two niggles. First, what was available on bottles wasn't self-evident. Second, on the day I was there, there were a fair number of red lagers and straightforward pale ales. A few more off beat brews would have been nice. Still, friendly staff with hot bartender, food was good but not great, tendds towards burgers and hot dogs. If back in Folsom, I would return...depending on the crowd.

OK, i have read/heard about this local place yet had never visited until Sacramento beer week for a couple of events on the calender. (Firestone Walker night 2/26 & Hop rodeo 3/5).

A-I really like the old world bar/tavern feel that is present here, i enjoy the set up of the bar which contributes to a friendly/easy to meet and talk beer with other patrons. I was not sure about the self service bar at first but i actually really like the concept which seems to speed service.

Q-Beer selection is among the best offered in the Sacramento valley. I was able to enjoy FW 10,11,12,13,14 on FW night during beer week, this was EPIC. All beers taste fresh, clean and poured on proper glassware. I did however think something was off in the PORT brewing MONGO at the rodeo event, seemed to be a common report.

S- once again, at first i was not sure about the self service bar, but now after using it i really think it keeps service very efficient. My glass was never empty!

F- I had the sausage platter which i thought was very good. The food menu seems to be priced very fair.

Overall- I love this place and will continue to make it one of my regular establishments to visit. I really like the fact that everyone that works there seems to really enjoy beer and their jobs. If you have not visited this location and you are from the Sacramento area or looking for a good spot while visiting, this is it!

Wow, I'm surprised this place hasn't been reviewed. One of two exceptional beer bars in the Folsom area. Modeled after an English style tavern with a central "unmanned" bar down the middle, booths on the sides and a very small 3 seat bar up front. The owner is a knowlegable beer enthusiast and does a good job keeping a good selection on tap. I believe they have 12-16 taps and a good selection of bottles as well. Tap focus seems to be on west coast craft brews but that is certainly not all they have.

The food is not fancy but is absolutely delicious! Just don't come here if you are on a diet.

Only problem is the roadwork going on in old town Folsom that makes nearby parking a pain in the rear. Park and walk, it's worth the trip.
