Pours an apricot colored ale with a massive, and I mean massive, white foamy head. Good lacing and solid staying power.

Getting good rye whiffs along with peach and dankness.

Real spiciness on the taste. They weren’t kidding calling this a Rye IPA. Rye dominates the flavor but there is enough bitterness to let you know this is till an IPA. “Only” 65 IBU’s but the rye definitely makes me feel this is hoppier than that. Tangerine, lemon and rind make a nice appearance as well.

Overall I thought this was a great rye beer. I’ve had rye beers where the rye seemed to be an afterthought. Not here. If you wanna experience what rye bread would taste like in liquid form….look no further. It was a little palate wrecking, but I enjoyed the session very much.

Had this on tap at the OC Fair Brew HeeHaw, enjoyed it, and then saw it at Sprouts Farmers Market for under $5. 22oz into a pint glass - Pours a golden amber color - shallow head and thin lacing which quickly dissipates - I get a big honey smell on the nose - taste is the same with a little floral aspect and some solid citrus notes - medium body with a decent sticky coating that lingers with each sip - I'm not blown away but am enjoying it more and more as the bottle goes on - If you're in the OC and want to check out a new local brew give this one a go - can't go wrong for the price
