Poured from the bottle into a snifter glass. Had before at reidjushoa tasting, but enjoyed it enough to get a bottle for myself to review. Thanks to HowBoutDan for the inspiration.

Creamed light tan head of about a finger. Holding on nicely with a solid cap and creamy appearance. Body color is a very dark brown to nearly black body. Glass laces with a creamy consistency and ring like lacing.

As before I remember, this nails the peanut butter character so perfectly. Nut crunchy oils of peanut and chocolate. A real nice toasty sweetness that doesn't border on sugar or peanut butter cup ridiculous quality. Nice little bit of char to match out, creamy vanilla sense to match also. Easily the best peanut butter stout/porter I have ever had to date. Just real impressive.

Palate comes out to match, but has a body more like a subdued American stout or light porter. Big charring roast, and even a good amount of hop bitterness. Much of the sweetness and distinct aroma doesn't come out as easily on the palate. Chewy tobacco roast, with a hint of peanut goodness matching on the finish, but also with lots of bitter oiled pine hop bitter and astringency to match. Big hop bitter finish which needs to be tone down a bit to let the aromas

Overall it's not by far an amazing stout, but has one of the best aromas and bouquets for a peanut butter forward beer I have had. It is however one of the few stouts I wish had a bit more sweetness to it instead.
