On tap at Mother Earth Brew Co. in Vista, CA.

Pours a clear golden color with an off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Thin streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is pretty one dimensional with some sweet malt/grain aromas. Taste is also of sweet malt/grain flavors and a slight soapy taste. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty average lager all around.

It looked like a typical blond ale, with decent head, and with no distinctive smell. However, it tasted very flat and flavorless, at best a bitter taste. My friends likened it to PBR. I couldn't bring myself to finish the glass, and hope this was just a bad keg.

Sampled 5/28/2011 at the brewery.

Pours slightly hazy yellow, tall white head, decent lacing, not much in the way of retention.

Aroma is sweet, honey, a bit of grass, and a bit of bready malt.

Flavor is a bit heavy on the honey and sweetness. There is a floral and slight citrus note with a medium(ish) hop bite, and some bready malt that almost tastes like malt extract.

Body is a little heavier than I'd like in a lager. Drinkable? Sure.
