More of the more accessible cousin of Mother Earth, this was too dark of an appearance, venturing into amber ale style guidelines from an SRM standpoint. Aroma was mildly hoppy, could have dialed that up a notch.

Taste was heavy bitterness, grapefruit, offered a little pine later on. Minimal sweetness, a little much caramel and toasted amber and red kind of malting. Warming alcohol impressions.

Ordered this and the mother earth drink local first at the same time at Churchills Pub. I liked the other one more. This one looked as if it was almost a red ale, lots of amber and light red hues in the liquid, good head. Aroma was hoppy, not massive, like a single dry hop schedule, good, better than average.

Taste, hit heavy on the C hops for me. Bitterness was substantial, but not one dimensional. Pretty balanced, but packing plenty of flavor. Grapefruit and pine in harmony with the caramel. Thankfully didn't taste like it was a red ale. Mildly sweet at times, this was an enjoyable beer. The alcohol was slightly warming, nothing bothersome, but far from hidden.

A worthy beer, just not as worthy as the other one.

A darker than typical IPA. This is a dark, cloudy amber and auburn with a thin light khaki colored head. Nice retention and gorgeous lacing down the glass. Very pretty.

Biscuity and somewhat sweet aroma, with some floral and citrus notes emerging as the beer warms. Fairly simple, but nice.

A very well balanced, incredibly drinkable IPA. There's good amounts of floral and mild citrus notes, backed up well with toasted biscuit, bread, and mild caramel sweetness.

Medium bodied with moderate, slightly creamy, carbonation.

Very nice, easy-drinking, IPA.
