Steady, even flavor. Tastes exactly like it should and as I hoped it would. Has nice soap sudsy head and mild hint of vanilla. Goes down easy and I don't mind it as a session beer. I really like it and so do the ladies who have sampled it.

Pretty smooth day time beer. Nice clear golden pour and a hint of vanilla to set a palate right.

Poured a beautiful deep orange/amber with a thin ring of whit head. It looks pretty good, not at all like any form of adjunct lager. Scent is very sweet, with heavy notes of cream, maize and sweet malt. It's a simple, yet pleasant scent, like a cream soda, or vanilla soda. Flavor follows the nose, very sweet. Heavy sweet cream flavors and vanilla, laid over a solid backbone of sweet malt and maybe some maize adjuncts, with a moderate level of floral and earthy hops that balance the sweetness. The end of the sip and the aftertaste are slightly bitter, especially for the beer's 21 IBUs. It's unique, has a nice combination of sweet and bitter and the vanilla notes are excellent. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. It drinks smooth and creamy, as it should. Quite an excellent mouthfeel. I like this beer a lot. It has a nice flavor, that's sweet without being cloying and balances in some bitterness. It has a pleasant vanilla heavy scent and an excellent medium bodied creamy mouthfeel. I'd drink this one again.

Tastes like a dry cream soda with a bit of bitterness. Fuller bodied than a cream soda which would make this a nice choice when you want to fill that itch.

Smooth and refreshing with just the right amount of vanilla on the back side.

The vanilla cream notes are prevalent. This Isn't very light tasting refreshing beer.

Enjoyed pretty close to room temp. Probably not the best idea. This beer is undeniably very smooth and creamy. Smell and taste wise, it was very light, and left more to be desired. Would recommend giving it a try, but as of my first impression, it's certainly not going to become one of my staples.

Loved this beer. Light and refreshing, perfect for sipping on the beach. Trying to find this in Oregon.

Poured out of a can this is more bitter than I first thought it would be with a nice vanilla cream hint both in the aroma and Taste.

The vanilla I think is more present in the aroma than the taste. Its sweet and bitter at the same time with a smoothness and somewhat flavor of a cream soda.

This is a good beer give it a shot.

Pleasant amber color with ample head. Nice foamy swirls in the tall Stella glass. Persistent and peculiar aroma which is apparently vanilla, but smells like honey as well.

Brewer says this is brewed with "flaked corn and honey malt," so you can call it an Adjunct Lager. But maybe they use ale yeast, so call it a Spiced Beer. Whatever. It's quite flavorful with vanilla along with some malty biscuit taste. Some earthy hops that seem wildly inappropriate to the spice. Rather bitter aftertaste, especially for 21 IBUs. Maybe around the holidays this could be appropriate. Seems well made, but unappealing for any "normal" drinking.

From the 22 oz bottle bought at Best Damn for $6.50. Label printed on.

I tried this because it seems to be a popular item where I work and I've heard good things about Mother Earth Brew Co. It pours a nice light orange color with a modest head. The smell is mild and pleasant. The initial aroma is faint vanilla that gives way to an earthy smell I can't really define. The taste is heavy on the malt with a subtle--yet noticeable--vanilla flavor. The taste finishes off with a distinct bready characteristic. The breadiness in the aftertaste is unique, but I can't really put my finger on what it is. Overall, this is a solid, refreshing beer that tastes a lot like cream soda. A perfect beer for a hot day, or if you need a break from some of more robust ales out there. (in fact, I bought this cause all I had was Mission's Dark Seas Imperial Stout, but didn't want anything heavy).

A gift to me from a friend living in San Diego. He's a good man.

Little gold with two-finger, white head into an Allagash glass. The nose is a soft, pretty vanilla coupled with a touch of fresh fruit.

Damn -- this tastes like cream soda. I don't know what else to say other than this is an alcoholic version of cream soda. Even better, though, is there is just enough bitterness from keeping this from becoming too sweet and cloying. A nice vanilla note, however, lingers a few seconds.

This is quite tasty if you are into cream soda, which I am. Very well-balanced. Light to medium bodied. Delicious, and something a little different for warmer whether beyond the session IPAs, wheat beers, etc.

I myself am not a big cream ale guy but my wife loves this beer. Overall it's very good drinking but a pint is my limit. It's a tad sweet like a cream soda and the alcohol is well balanced and overall a good drinking beer.

Vanilla is the main flavor and finished nicely, solid if your a cream ale enthusiast.

On tap at Beer Belly in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a clear light orange with a foamy white head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Thick swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, vanilla, the candy stick that comes in a Fun Dip, and slight grassy aromas. Taste is much the same with vanilla and grassy flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with an interesting but fairly strong vanilla presence all around.

Dark gold pour, hint of vanilla at the end of the sip. I was afraid the vanilla would be overpowering, but it isn't. Definite recommend.

One of a handful of Mother Earth beers I got from my brother for Xmas. Not sure the cost but I know it was purchased at Holiday Wine up in Escondido. Poured from a 22oz bomber into an Odell Brewing branded tulip glass.

Also - not too sure why this is listed as an herbed/spiced beer. Comes across as a pale with vanilla bean added. Almost identical to Alpine's Willy Vanilly that is listed on BA as an American Pale Wheat Ale. The style listed above gives one an inaccurate expectation of the actual type of ale in the bottle.

A: Pours a fairly clean light amber/straw-like hue with a 2 - 3 finger white head that lingers a while giving way to nice lacing from start to finish.

S: Honey, fresh cracked grain, vanilla bean - no hop presence.

T: Similar to the nose...more earthy and a very light bitterness from the hop. Has a cheap lager finish - similar to High Life, but obviously far tastier overall.

M: Light crisp and dry, somewhat mild carbonation for the style. Feels like the finish is on the verge of being a bit weak, but comes through in the end.

Overall a tasty session ale. Not sure on the price, but if it comes in around $5 for a bomber, then well worth the price - otherwise not really worth it. Weird time of year to release this one in the bottle...definitely more of a Spring/Summertime all-day drinker, especially at 5.2% ABV.

not sure what to expect here... but here goes:
orange color, no head.
smell is unbelievably sweet. is this a 'novelty' brew?
taste is sweet. yes, it's a novelty beer, I think. I can understand the concept but I think i'm regretting purchasing this one.
I poured it out. I threw it away. maybe you'll like it, but it just wasn't what I was looking for.
cheers!

Type: 22-oz. bottle
Glass: Karl Strauss pint glass
From: Costco in Mission Valley (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $4.79
Purchased: Aug. 27, 2014
Consumed: Aug. 29, 2014
Misc.: N/A

Poured a honey, golden, straw, semi-clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki tan head that withered away fairly quickly. A good deal of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Below average wet watery lacing along the sides of the glass. Below average retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.50)

Smelled honey, vanilla, cream, sweet sugary corn, caramel, light grape and some rye malts. (Smell - 3.75)

Taste was much, much better. Got vanilla cream, caramel, honey, vanilla extract, grass, Cream Soda and amber malts. Reminded me of a very good American Adjunct Lager. (Taste - 4.00)

Light body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, sweet finish. Something slightly off late on the tongue, but still a nice feel. (Feel - 3.88)

A very good cream ale. I don’t know how many I’ve rated so far, but this one went down easy. Close to an AAL in my opinion, but not quite. Sweet, sugary, vanilla goodness. (Overall - 3.88)

Served in a chilled beer mug.

A: Pours a dark, golden brown color. Opacity is clean and bright. Head is very thin, dissipates quickly. Lacing is moderate.

S: Nose is grassy, malty with a faint vanilla presence. There's a lot of earth in the aroma as well.

T: Very malty, low bitterness, moderate amount of vanilla throughout. I get cream notes at the finish. Very "bready" aftertaste, consistent with the strong malt bouquet. This is a very sweet beer.

M: Moderate carbonation, slight milkiness with low viscosity. Nothing special here, but good.

Overall: I wish the vanilla and cream were more pronounced, especially on the nose. The smell is very earthy and grassy, and unexpected for a vanilla cream ale. This is an extremely malty brew, almost cloyingly sweet. While not a "WOW" brew, it was enjoyable and I would drink again, especially due to its easy availability.

Appearance - Pours an orange color, with a little head that disappears rather quickly. It is clear with little carbonation. (3.5/5)

Smell - Smells sweet. A smell very similar to that of cream soda. Lots of vanilla smell (4.75/5)

Taste - Very smooth and sweet tasting. No bitter aftertaste. I did not notice any strong after taste. This beer is very sweet but not necessarily due to a strong vanilla taste. (4.5/5)

Mouthfeel - Crisp, medium carbonation. Did at times feel a little thick. Nothing really of note (3.5/5)

Overall - Great beer. If you like a sweet beer then try this out.
