A- Cool little brewery. They make the most of a small space, they have a nice long bar right in the middle of their brewery. It gets kinda crowded but I guess that's what happens when you have good beer.
Q- Beer quality is top notch, really good stuff
S- Service is good once you get up to the counter and get help but it sometimes takes a while, the cards they use to keep track of you samples is a little odd too, but it works.
S- I wish they had more stuff in bottle, and I hope they get a handle on bottle quality control as the Primordial I had on tap was AMAZING, but in bottle THUMBS DOWN< The overall selection on tap is really nice, and the board has some great info for the beer nerds to really learn about each of their brews.

Located in an upscale, old town neighborhood, Mother Earth has a vibrant social scene without being overbearing or pretentious. The location is ideal for social gatherings or for a simple tasting. Food isn't served, but one can order pizza from a booth on premises, walk across the street for take out, or bring whatever food is desired. This brewery has a wide variety of above average beers, and a handful of near excellent IPAs. Definitely worth the trip. A neighborhood gem.

Stopped by here while in North County for Pizza Port's Strong Ale fest. No food here, but most people brought in pizza from Urbn across the street, or mexican from next door. Nice patio which would be nicer if it got some sun on it.
Now let's get to the beers. I got the flight of 6 tasters for 10 bucks and honestly I was quite underwhelmed. I think I saw a house pale ales and no less than 3 IPAs on a tap--of 8-10 beers, 3 IPAs? I realize this is the west coast, but I thought this was nothing less than ignorance to all the other amazing styles of beer that should be brewed. Yes, the beers were all very different. One was cloudy and yellow and looked spot on for a hefeweizen, but at ~4% alcohol had no business being as aggressively hopped as it was and completely missed the mark for an IPA. The pale ale was clearly a SNPA knock off, and the other was more of an english inspired IPA. There was a run of the mill brown ale and an even more run of the mill porter in the flight. A non-descript irish red ale rounded out the 6, and it didn't leave any impression on me.
If they expand their selection, I might come back while in north county. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if you're doing a beer tour along the 78 you might as well check it out.
