Lemmy's rules! Visited twice in our one day in Leiden in mid July. Stopped by in the afternoon before our canal tour. Barmaid was eager to please, although language was a small barrier. Ordered a Boon Geuze and she was so eager to please that she spent 5 minutes trying to find the right glass (we found out later from the co-owner that they don't have that glass). Barmaid also asked a regular to pass out some meatballs that they were offering. Patron was intent on ignoring us tourists and despite the barmaids trying to get her attention and get her to offer us some, we missed out. Ordered another but had a good feeling about the place and came back after dinner. While the draught list is pretty good for Dutch standards, I strayed to bottles and had the co-owner hopping answering questions about a number of different bottles that I did not recognize. He also offered some suggestions to help me find a nice and hoppy beer to remind me of home, but that search was pretty much in vain, unless I wanted to go with BrewDog or Flying Dog (which I did not, as I was trying to stay as local as possible). They also had an impressive scotch collection which my girlfriend enjoyed.
Not overly large, no food that I could tell (although we were given snacks). Music skewed to classic rock and decor was beer signs and about 14 rock star pictures.
While we were not locals, we definitely felt welcome and if we ever get back to Leiden, we will make another night of it at Lemmy's.

Nice small place, cozy. I went there for an after work beer and I really enjoyed it. THey have a great selection of beers, mainly from Belgium. Each beer is served in its own glass, that makes a very nice plus to the service. If you are in Leiden, do not hesitate to stop here
