Named after the year the original St. Louis brewery was opened. This brewery was reopened just a few years ago, and now has about 6 year-round and seasonal offerings.

A-High-fill up to the collar of the bottle only 1.5 cm from the cap. Yeast visible in bottle at the top of the neck as well as thin layer of sediment at the bottom. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with one-finger white head and okay retention. Ingredients listed include water, pure malted barley, hops, spices and yeast. Unfiltered, unpasteurized.

S-Light pleasant malt aroma with thin layer of spice and light noble hops. There is also a faint fruity and floral bouquet, and a hint of bitter almond.

T-Light malt, light yellow fruit profile midway, and dryer finish with slightly spicy aftertaste. The hops in the finish that last into the aftertaste clash with something that I can't pin down. The aftertaste seems like it doesn't know which way to go...it's fruity, spicy, dry, faintly skunky, floral, etc. It's complex, but lacks a full sense of harmony.

M-Well-carbonated, good balance, light-bodied. The carbonation is really a great complement to the flavor, and imparts a perky effervescence.

D-A good beer that is tasty and refreshing. This is my third beer from St. Louis, and all have been above avg. The mouthfeel is great, and the overall experience is a success. Fill levels vary widely, but none are short. Looking forward to trying the Noel, retrying the Blanche, and finding their seasonal.
