s - boozy in a great way with some dark fruit and malt aromas.
t - plums, grapes, bready with a hint of booziness.
m - slick and medium.
o - super drinkable and the heat really accentuated the beer and was pleasant. very nice sipper.

Poured from 22 oz bomber into snifter.
A: Pours a very dark honey brown with a small one finger white head. Very minimal lacing.
S: Sweet malts and dark fruits. Brown sugar, caramel, plums, dates.
T: Caramel and buttery brown sugar. A bit of dark fruits - plums, dates, raisins.
M: Full bodied and lightly carbonated. Coats the tongue nicely.
O: Officially labeled an English Strong Ale. This one has a lot in common with a Scotch Ale or a Barley wine. A very nice ale. Perfect for a cold winter night after a big meal with a fire burning in the fireplace.

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into a Chimay goblet.
A: Dark, almost opaque mahogany. Light white head dissipates quickly. Nice tracing.
S: Dried fruits. Spicy and Belgian. Smells like the best BDSAs. Raisins and candy sugar.
T/M: Thick, hugely present, but saved from stickiness by a light carbonation. The mouthfeel is spot on, but the flavor is somewhat lackluster. Oddly, not much going on at all. Just fried fruit and molasses.
O: Just okay. There's not a lot going on, which is disappointing.

Poured into a snifter.
A: Cherry burgundy; opaque. A half finger head that dissipates quickly. Foamy lacing.
S: Cherries, molasses, Belgian yeast, dates and raisins.
T: The Belgian yeast really comes through with apricots, plums and figs. Sticky sweet, almost cloyingly so. A nice bourbon finish. Alcohol creeps in. Better as it warms.
M: Medium with a medium carbonation.
O: I' d like this one a whole lot more if it weren't so freakin' sweet. Not bad, but definitely a one and done. Share with others so you won't have to drink it all yourself.
