I imagine this is what a Blue Moon and chardonnay mix would taste like. Feels and finishes like a Blue Moon with a slight hint of grape.

22oz bottle from Sherlock's (Marietta, GA). 12.99. No bottling date. Served in a goblet.
Pours a murky golden brown with a half finger of pale head. That froth quickly dissipates to a few wisps accross the surface and a modest collar that leaves some sparce lacing.
Huge white wine aromas dominate. The Chardonnay is backed by smells of oak, subtle grass and sugars.
Taste follows the nose with Chardonnay first, foremost and consistently the most forward flavor throughout. Notes of oaky vanilla, hay, caramel/ sugary sweetness, cracker, vague spice, subtle yeast and trace alcohol. I can't say it's much of a saison but the wine notes are delightful and it hides the 8.5% abv very well.
Medium full boby with moderate carbonation. The finish is dry and a bit crisp with wine, sugars, vague honey and a little oak.
While I might not credit Straight To Ale with making a saison, they have brewed another mighty fine beer here. I completely agree with Zach that the base (what little can be detected through the strong barreling) seems to be more Belgian strong pale ale than saison. But what this lacks in style points it more than makes up for in bold flavor. Admittedly I'm not the biggest fan of saisons so my score is based more on enjoying the flavor than this following any style guidelines.

Appearance: Pours hazy amber, small dissipating head. OK lacing.
Aroma: Heavy hitting with the white wine. Not much else comes through.
Flavor: Sweet white grapes, booze, sugary sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light bodied, with a lingering helping of residual sugar sweetness.
Overall: Not a big fan. I'm in the camp that saisons should be subtle, complex, dry, and refreshing. This beer is none of these things. Wine barrel BSPA? Yeah, great one. Wine barrel Saison, not so much.

Poured from 22 oz bomber into snifter.
A: Pours golden honey yellow with small one finger off white head that settled immediately with zero lacing.
S: White grapes, honey, grassy hops, and yeast esters.
T: White grapes with the Chardonnay barrel influence evident, but the underlying saison comes through nicely. A nice earthy funk. A little peppery bite at the end.
M: Medium body and plenty of carbonation. Steady stream of bubbles. Slightly dry finish.
O: Nice barrel aged saison. Chardonnay is far from a favorite of mine, but at least this barrel didn't overwhelm the base saison, and the flavors blended nicely.
