Notes/Commercial Description:
An American style IPA, golden in color with light malt hues and strong hop characteristics. Its vibrant citrus aromas and bitterness are created by four bold American hops. Our dry hopping gives this beer that distinctive and aggressive hop finish.

Utah beer laws are confusing. Utah beer listings are just as confusing. The can says 4% but does not mention anything about Session etc. Just gonna leave this here.

A- Pale golden body poured from the 16oz can to a goblet. A white cap crowns the beer with a frothy consistency. Head retention is decent as the head falls down to a thin ring. Plenty of spotty lacing at the top of the glass with some drizzle below.

S- Even considering the 4% ABV, the hops are not all that pungent in the aroma compared to other low ABV IPAs. A mix of citrus and fruity hops makes up most of the smell with some light grains and bread behind that.

T- Hops are the showcase and it follows the aroma pretty closely. A bit more cereal grain/fresh cracked base malt comes out but it doesn't detract from the hoppy notes of tangerine, orange, grapefruit, pine and floral character. Hops are not juicy or pungent but light-medium in strength.

MF- Very light bodied overall feel with a fairly frothy texture. The carbonation is moderately high and helps push what hop flavors there are onto the taste buds. Light bitter finish.

Certainly hop forward but not a hop bomb compared to beers like Go To, All Day and other modern low ABV IPAs. I actually like the raw grainy base malt flavor that comes out and I think it matches the hop profile well.

Appearance: Finger and a half of head on the pour but quickly settled in. Sticky, light random lacing left behind. Slightly foggy with a crisp golden color.

Smell: Sweet biscuity malt front. Saturated citrus and orange peel comes on the body. Earthy grains and earth make up the back end.

Taste: Those earthy grains hit right away. Tangerines, oranges, and heavy citrus shows up on the body. A touch of slight funk then yields to a kind of watery finish. For what it is though I can dig it.

Mouthfeel: Light, refreshing mouthfeel. Some lingering sourness left behind.

Overall: A decent little 4% IPA. For the cost I have no regrets popping on a 4pk of this. Give it a go.

I poured the 7% variety here in Idaho. This is the 8 four pack I have bought in the last year. It pours fully carbonated, head off white, lite brown sugar, feel quickly. Laceing nothing to marvel at. Great aroma, mild fruit, just not pineapple, but close. In the mouth, fresh, refreshing, clean finish. I could almost finish 12 ounces of this IPA in 2 swallows. Smooth floral and citrus, Carmel cream balance this out. What a great IPA with just the right balance of bitters upfront and fruits in for the whole trip. Cheers!

Sunday in SLC and this is what I could buy.

The 4% version of the real ale was on sale for $5 for the 4 pack of tall boys.

Clear mildly chill hazed orange colored ale with no head formation.

Smells lightly hoppy and fruity with a pleasant pipe tobacco tobacco smell. Little bit of orange scent.

Starts out dry and a little woody. Mild sweetness and a medium level of bitterness. Toasted grain flavor. Tastes pretty OK for what it is.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall an OK beer, I need to try its full strength version.

easily the best 4% ipa ive had, maybe the best 4% beer overall. this one pours from the 16oz. can a nice orange glowing golden color with some haze and a foamy off white head rising well over the rim of the glass and sticking around awhile. you couldn't ask an ipa to look much better. the nose is bitter yet fruity somehow as well. some apricot notes amongst the bitter hops, as well as an English biscuit malt profile. the flavor is just about the hops, although balanced, the oily dankness of west coast C varieties dominates here, and the fruity component is relegated to a subtle spot in the finish, tempering out the bitterness. this is really sessionable with its lower abv, and the flavor is full and robust, complex and refreshing. yum. nice carbonation and a medium body left by some unfiltered yeast. you almost don't miss the rest of the alcohol, because everything else happening with this beer is just so spot on. I almost prefer its low abv, it lets me consume more of these tasty offerings. my first beer from moab will not be my last. this is impressive!

Poured into a 16 ounce glass produces a tall off-white froth that dissipates slowly. The smell is resin or solvent like. Strong, but not overly bitter hops taste and smell. If there is malt flavor, it is well overpowered by the hops. Mouthfeel is smooth and not overly carbonated. Hops aftertaste lingers for some time. So much hops I almost recoil at each sip. Maybe I could become accustomed to it, but I do not think I will bother. I'm just not accustomed to drinking beer with such a strong solvent-like flavor.

This beer is 7% ABV in the can I got (in Idaho). Its a decent beer. That is best I can say about it. Its a bit wangy at the end of the taste which makes it less than very good. The packaging is cool. I wouldnt go too far out of my way to drink this beer again. But its not bad.

16 oz. can. No freshness date.

Clear, clean golden straw body. Fat finger of dense, creamy, light beige head. Good lacing. Mildly faint hop aromas of pine and citrus. Some fruity malt underneath. Nice, but a bit understated.

Toasted malts quickly give way to herbal, pine, and citrus hop bitterness. Light malt backbone, with sugar cookie notes. Some light fruitiness as well. Lots of citrus zest in the finish, with steady bitterness. Dry. Moderate body with a nice, lively feel. A very tasty session IPA.
