A "nice" neighborhood place on the edges of german village in downtown columbus. They have a surprising selection considering what one would expect walking in...if you think you are getting BMC here...wrong. i had stella, magic hat, goose island, great lakes, harp, columbus brewing, elevator, among other craft selections...they do have BMC as well of course. The craft selections aren't going to drop any jaws...but it is refreshing to go to a place and get some quality. The bar staff are energetic and friendly...some are more knowledgable than others but overall I give them good marks...they work hard. The place can be packed (HH or late night) or more subdued. I live within walking distance and frequent often. The food is also pretty damn good...their bbq and pizza are the highlights for me...hell...why not combine the two and get their smokehouse pizza...GREAT! HH on mondays offers free pizza as well...so take advantage...get some pizza...have some decent craft beers and make some new friends. a nice hole in the wall.

This is one of my local watering holes.
Located on the corner of South High and Beck St (duh) in German Village. This place is old, established in the '20s I believe.

The major draw here is free pizza (not just cheese either. There are many specialty pizzas that get put out, The other day they had a BBQ beef brisket pizza) on Mondays and free chili dogs on Tuesdays. They have free darts, free ping pong and coin operated billiards.

Exposed brick and original hardwood are throughout this classic little bar. There is a small front patio that they make the most of with picnic tables.

Beer selection isnt phenomenal but there is always something to please. Columbus IPA, one of my staples, is always on tap along with a Great Lakes handle.

If you find yourself in German Village, especially on a Monday evening, I highly recommend this establishment.
