Had lunch today at "The Bank" in Wheaton. The atmosphere is one that I would say is more of an upscale restaurant. The Atmosphere was nice if your looking for a hybrid which provides a high class dinning experience across a yuppie beer delight. The quality all around is quite nice. The servie was very good. Slecetion outside of the "tap" was weak... but the tap menu was very good. The food was very good and hightly recommended. Overall...you need to visit to truly appreciate.

Great beer selection (could be a little bigger). Nice bar area that is separate from the dining room with an attentive and friendly staff. Nice patio in front (right along the main downtown area) with fans to keep you cool in the summer. Great food and changing menu. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped in here following a long day of moderating at nearby Wheaton North High School. It was a Saturday around 5-5:30pm, just before any dinner rush. It's a nice-looking place, dark wood everywhere and a large spiral staircase leading downstairs (I love this things for some reason). I went straight for the bar. The tap listing was decent, with some Great Lakes, Old Raspy, Stone, and the Two Brothers contract brew Bail-Out Ale. I had the last one, as it was the only one I'd never had before (with good reason). They have a few bottles, too, but nothing to get excited about at all. The bartender was friendly, somewhat knowledgeable, and pretty attentive. Two flat screens bookend the top of the bar area, giving me the first place in a very long time that had the volumes on the TVs on. This didn't really hurt anything, as there were very few at the bar, and we were all enjoying the college games on. Overall, this is a nice place, but not somewhere I would necessarily go out of my way to visit (though maybe the food is worth it...I wouldn't know).

Stopped at the Bank for a quick lunch while in the area. The place was remodeled with lots of dark wood framing the interior, metal chandeliers, stone floors, and some salvaged bank-related antiques like a safe and handpainted signage. The lighting in the bar area was dim, so we opted to sit on the patio.
Service was quick and knowledgeable. Beer was served in a nonic pint, and they have a house beer contract brewed by Two Brothers. Tap selection had some good staples like Old Rasputin, Tripel Karmeleit, and Ed Fitzgerald. There were good descriptions of each beer on tap. Bottle list was less impressive, there were maybe 10 listed under "crafted beers" and 20 other macro domestics and imports. Lindemans Framboise was erroneously listed as from Kilkenny, Ireland. It was an ok list, but more just something to have with a meal than a rotating list for a BA.
The food was good, and i'd recommend it as a place for a nice lunch or dinner, but don't go out of your way.
