12oz can from buking21. Canned 8/22/14. Served in a goblet.

Pours hazy yellow with three fingers pale head which recedes to a thin ring, leaving copious lace.

A subdued nose with slight bread and faint oranges

The flavors are almost as subdued as the aroams. Watered down orange juice, earthy pine bark, bready malt and mild cardboard. Any hop precense seems to be incidental rather than intentional. It's not bad at all but it has definitely not earned the right for the letters IPA to be printed on the can.

Thin body with light carbonation. Orange bread finish.

Left of the Dial is an easy enough quaff but it is false advertising to label this as an IPA. Serious point deduction for calling it what it isn't.

A - Can dated 6/9/2014 - less than a month old. Took a couple pulls straight from the can then poured the rest into a 10oz tasting glass. Slightly hazy dark gold. Thick white head leaves moderate lacing.

S - Not picking up much. When the can was first popped I got a big dose of earthy hops, but not in the glass I'm getting light malt, and even lighter hops.

T - Makes up for the smell. Not as much hops as I would'v expected even for a "session" IPA. The malt is very powerful. An unobstructed view to the caramel, malty sweetness. Bitterness creeps back in between sips.

M - Best feature of the brew. Drinks like an IPA. Most sessions are too light. This is nicely thick for the style. Medium carb. Lingers on the palate.

O - This is a good not great brew. Worth trying it out.
