Atmosphere: This place is very inviting. The bar seems small upon entering but it's fairly large after seeing the patio and the back room. There are beer fridges that allows you to see all the bottle and can offerings in back of the bar but the lighting isn't that great. Love the atmosphere though.
Service: The waitress that served my girlfriend and I had great recommendations for new beer's and gave us great service the entire time.
Selection: This bar offers a very great selection of Ontario craft beers, on tap they usually have your standard Rickards, Creemore, Molson but also have the Unibroue seasonals like Raftman and Ephemere aux pommes. As for bottles, they have lots to choose from, anything from Flying Monkey's, Unibroue, Dieu du ciel, Nickel Brook, Muskoka. A few months ago they got some Westvleteren 12 and 8 so if you're looking for it they've got it! They probably have around 50+ beers so that's pretty good for Sudbury.
Food and value: They have a great selection of Pizza's, Sandwiches and numerous Appetizers to choose from. The prices are also very reasonabe for both the beer and food. Great place for Sudbury. Id have to say the beer selection and food is better here than Hardrock 42 but they are both great places to check out if you're in Sudbury.

This is the best place to have a good beer in Sudbury but that's not really saying much. Sudbury is really hurting when it comes to beer (LCBO rarely has anything good or seasonal) but it's a start and one I'm very pleased with.
I've been going to the Buddha for years. The tap selection is fairly bland but the bottle selection is what makes this place great (nothing compared to the better beers bars down south and mostly all stuff I can get myself from the LCBO or The Beer Store). Foods pretty good pizzas, sandwichs and apps.
Great patio and a good atmosphere with pretty good service keeps me happy. This is basically the only place to go in Sudbury if you want a good beer. Most of the staff enjoy good beer and the owner is doing a nice job keeping a good selection of great beers. They've got good thing going.

As far as I can tell, the Laughing Buddha is pretty much the only place to get a good craft beer in Sudbury. The have 6 or so taps, usually something halfway decent like Murphy's and Rickard's White. They have a really good bottle selection, and not bad prices either. I was happy to find Chimay Red (Premiere), and surprised to pay $11 for the 750. They have a good selection of imports and Canadian craft beers.
The food is pretty good, mostly pizza and sandwiches (love the fried pickles). I think they recently took over the place next door, and have interesting live music on weekends (there was a traditional Ukrainian band one night I was there). They have a nice little secluded patio, which is great now that it is warming up.
Overall it's a nice little pub, and pretty much the only place I go to on a regular basis.
