The place is easy to find and there's plenty of parking on the sides or in the back. There are doors at the front and back. They definitely are not worried about being robbed.
I entered and the two clerks were busy chatting about someone's marriage and how it was ending in divorce. I wandered around the store for a while trying to find the selection of hard-to-find beers mentioned in another review for this store and not once did either of them recognize my existence. I decided to not even bother them to ask about their beer.
Their selection is sparse, but not horrendous. Many of the better known craft beers are not present and those that are have poor representation. They had Sierra Nevada, but only two types. No DFH, Weyerbacher or Anchor. No Allagash, Ommegang or Great Divide, yet they did have Fort Collins and a decent showing of their offerings. Go figure. They did a good showing of Victory products.
The little display of hard-to-find beers mentioned in the other review manifested itself with two Belgian labels (Petrus being one), Baltic Thunder and a few others. Maybe they took down the craft beer section between the previous review and when I went.
Okay, there's not much up there by way of beer stores, but the one in White Deer Plaza beats the hell out of this place and even that's not very good. So you're much better off going to the Mohawk House, sitting down and enjoying some great beers from their 34 taps. Oh yeah, if you find something you like there you can get a growler so this liquor store's meager pickings is mostly forgettable.

I recently moved to the area and wanted to check this place out as it was on the way home from work. I was not very impressed with the selection at all, the offering seemed very random and they didn't have a lot of craft staples. I didn't purchase anything so I can't really say anything about the service and I didn't ask any questions. If you are in the area there are far better choices.

When in Sparta,N.J. you must stop in Burke's Wine across from the Post Office to check out the craft beer selection. After browsing the beer cooler keep going and look around the corner to your right and you'll find some interesting brews not sold anywhere else. Long time staples as well as newcomers and " just out" seasonals are there for the taking. Grab some Z's for the cookout and campfire.
While you're at it there's tons of everything you might want all arranged strategically. It might seem a little cramped but all the varieties of liquors and wine are displayed well enough to make it easy find. The staff is friendly, courteous and always helpful, even when they're busy.
Prices on everything are always better than the other guys.
