Found this on BA, then stopped in during a short business trip. I had a hell of a time finding it, and wasn't sure I'd arrived at the right place once I got to the address. It's in an industrial-looking site, with many other warehouses. And it's the last one in the back. Parking was impossible, there just aren't many spots.
The selection was really good, but to be honest I was hoping for even better selection. I wanted to see more CA beers which I can't find at home. There were 3 from Russian River, 2 of which I bought (Supplication and Temptation). 3 from Bear Republic and a few choice others, but I think they could have stocked more (just my preference).
The Belgian selection was really good, but also pretty over-priced.
I recommend checking the website to see what they're stocking before going here. It's a little pricey and hard to locate.

This place was right by my hotel during a business trip but I almost missed it because they're only open from 9 AM to 6 PM on weekdays. Fortunately we managed to get out of our meetings early one day.
Beverage Warehouse has a nice selection of beer from CA, the rest of the US and Europe. The selection is very good but it's not particularly well organized or displayed. Given that it's a warehouse, I wouldn't hold that against them. I focused on the locals and was able to pick up some AleSmith (IPA & Speedway Stout) and Russian River (PyE & Blind Pig). I always try to take some west coast IPAs back when I'm out there. Unfortunately they were out of Ballast Point Sculpin & Dorado.
The guys in the place were helpful and knowledgeable. Overall the prices were good. Some seemed high but most were on the low to average side. The PtY was only $4.29 which is lower than I pay in Seattle.
As I started to drink the beers I'd brought back, I started to see a pattern. First off, I noticed that the Blind Pig was four months old (although the PtE was only two weeks old). It was pretty dry and the hops had certainly faded. Then, I opened a Marin IPA and it was way too carbonated and dry as well. The AleSmith IPA wasn't bad but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I think the warm conditions at BW played a role in all of these. With the garage doors wide open all day, the heat seems to be even higher than most places without refrigeration. The guy behind the counter mentioned that RR requires them to refrigerate their beer and I can see why.
I can't say for sure that the beer spoiled because of the conditions at BW but I'm not sure I'd take the chance again. When I'm back in the area, I'll stick to the refrigerated RR and check the dates more carefully.

This place is located at the end of a strip mall in the middle of Marina del Rey off of Culver Boulevard
Have found great beers here from Ballast Point, Lagunitas, Stone, and Rogue XS series
Can find bombers for three bucks which is great, recently bought a Frank Zappa tribute beer called Kill Ugly Radio for that price
Always have specials and the newest products available
They are supposed to get in Stone's 11th Anniversary beer in the next few days
Sales associates know exactly what you are looking for and are always very helpful
If you become a regular here, you will receive amazing benefits, I will leave it at that

Located at the back of a industrial strip shopping center. Not sure what I was getting into, but glad I found it and glad I stopped in.
Cold beer is limited to one small cooler opposite the registers in the front. Warm beer area is large and all the way in the back and quite extensive. I was able to find plenty that I was looking for to fill my checked bags for the trip back east. Lots of Alaskan, AleSmith, Stone (plenty of 15th), and Drake's to make me happy.
Service, though a bit standoffish at first, was actually very pleasant when I checked out.
Hard to find, not easy to get to, but worth a stop.

This is in fact a warehouse as far as decor goes. There are industrial shelving units with lots of spirits, beer, soda and wine.
Macros are well represented with pallets of them lined up on the floor.
While there are plenty of craft beers, there are few I haven't seen anywhere else. For instance, I was excited to see some Sprecher limited edition beers and bought them. Soon, I saw the same beers in at least two other good beer stores.
If you live on the west side of LA, I can see this being your #1 or #2 bottled beer go-to (although I prefer the Winehouse, personally). But I wasn't as thrilled with the selection as I thought I would be when I finally made the special trip there.

A large un-decorated space that sells all kinds of liquor. A great selection of spirits and wines. It has a humidor and they sell all types of glasses. They have large grocery style shopping carts so be careful. A person could spend quite a few dollars here with a cart that large.
The beer selection is very nice. A large selection of California beers and some offerings from a few other states. Oregon, Alaska, Colorado, Pennsylvania and others. The import selection is well stocked. Australia is included, Canada is well represented and a nice supply of English and German beers. They also have plenty of Belgians and beers from many other countries.
The service is okay. Nobody really offers any help. If you ask they will try their best. The prices are better than many other places that sell the beers we are all looking for and this place probably has the best selection on the west side of Los Angeles. The Wine House comes close but they are unpredictable lately. Their selection seems to be dwindling.
BW is tucked away in a mini mall whrere no one would think a mini mall would exist. Be sure to check the maps on how to get there.

The place is clean, spacious, and the stock is displayed like someone actually cared. All the shelves are out in the open, but "warm" is not exactly the right word. Though there is no refrigeration, it felt like typical wear-your-hoodie southern California coastal temperature.
I think it's a pretty amazingly broad spectrum of beers. Not only that, prices were less than average. For instance, they had all of the Goose Island "girls" but for several dollars less than I've seen elsewhere. I wouldn't say there were any rarities, but they had beers I've never seen from several SoCal breweries. I can't begin to list the huge variety of breweries represented. Also dozens of Belgians and Germans.
If you want six-packs, they have vastly more of those than the boutique beer shops. Plus, where can you get Rainier Ale these days, and for six bucks for six 16 oz cans?
This would be the place for someone flying in to LAX and renting a car. You could harvest a vast array of California brews and fill up your trunk for a two week trip with one stop.

Big place tucked in a somewhat odd warehouse/shopping center thing. Real easy to get to from the 405.
Walk in a the place is full of beverages in a warehouse so the name is appropriate. Beers are back and to the right. Wall full of sixers, bombers, 750's and singles. Probably 30' long and 4 or 5 shelves high. Big long rack in the floor as well along with a few other random stacks. Strong representation of CA breweries including Stone, Green Flash, Russian River, The Brury, AleSmith, etc. A little thin on the imports but still a decent selection. Prices all seemed very reasonable and the help was friendly, but not particularly helpful. Definitely worth the stop if you ever find yourself in the area.

Beverage Warehouse is a great place to stock up on some really good beers. The beer guy Rick is a great guy to talk to and will keep you abreast as to what is going on with shipping and what he can get for you. Throw some questions around and you will be sure to get a response from one of the gentlemen who are there.
I have found some pretty great stuff lately. They have the new shipment of Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout, a bunch from Stoudts and Victory Brewing and a load of belgians which I am almost through with trying. They have a generous wall of singles that can be purchased and a large selection of six packs. They have new shipments that come in all the time, so their is a lot of variety in their selection.
This is a great place to stock up. Also, the people make it a place where you want to keep going back to spend your money.

The Beverage Warehouse is located just off the 405/90 (Marina del Rey Freeway), in West L.A. The place is located in an industrial park type area, just off Culver Blvd. Inside there is a wide selection of beer, wine, spirits. Inside to the right, you find the beer, a large selection of American crafts, Belgians, and European imports. They have a lot that I don't even see at Hi-Times, such as selections from the Penn Brewery. Prices are very good here, bombers are a good $.50 to $1 under what you find at other reatilers and 750s are often more than $2 off. This is a warehouse, so none of the beer is refrigerated, but the great selection more than makes up for it. Found a large selection of Belgians of 330 mL size that I haven't seen elsewhere. A great place to buy beer if you're in the West L.A. area.
