Very dark brown, with a long-lingering tan head, delicious roasty malt smell, same on the taste plus oysters. Excellent beer.

Not opaque. Dark brown with ruby highlights. 3 finger tan head.
First aroma wafting out of the bottle was oyster, but I couldn't pick it up when I put my nose to the bottle. Dark roast malts and a bit of caramel, together approach the aroma of coffee. The occasional hint of oyster.
Bitter, acidic roast coffee in the taste. Sweeter than most stouts. Sometimes a hint of something oysterish in the back of my mouth.
Medium bodied with light carbonation. Syrupy retention.
Not as malt heavy as most stouts, but the lighter attributes make it all the more drinkable. I like it.

22 oz bottle poured into a stemmed, tulip style glass.
Black stout color with a light brown head.
Don't let oyster stouts scare you, for those who don't like seafood.
O'Connor makes outstanding stouts, and this is another darn good one. Very subtle brininess from the oysters.

Updating my review as I had this on tap (12/29).
Poured a very dark brown with a tan head. Good lacing. Got more of the roasted malt smell this time but still lacks a bit IMO. Medium bodied, very smooth. It is a touch sweeter than the aroma lets on. The taste for me is pretty good; it 'drinks' well but is missing some of those bittersweet notes that balance the briny flavor of the oyster. All-in-all I still enjoyed this quite a bit.

Black body with one finger head and lace.
A roasted, almost coffee but not quite there aroma with little else.
Medium bodied, smooth, sweeter than aroma as there is a sweetness that is more vanilla than chocolate, not getting too much "oyster" but beer drinks pretty easy and is balanced by just a little bit of a roasted edge.
Not a sweet stout per se but this is definitely a lighter stout and enjoyable.
