I have had this in the bottle (one year old) and on tap at the Publican. Fruit, spice, Belgian yeast, faint banana, and malt on the nose from the bottle. The draft version has more peach, less banana and malt. It pours hazy gold under a 2” finely bubbled foam cap that slowly dissipates leaving intricate Belgian lace. On tap the palate starts very fruity – peach and tropical fruit with an underlying layer of malt and a bitter hop finish. The bottled version has more malt and less fruit and some faint cola notes. Both tap and bottle are surprisingly light for all that is going on and the carbonation is soft but above average. It is better fresh.

Sympathetic drink, foam and white fluffy strong smell a bit yeasty aroma with a hint of fruit. They are easy to drink with pleasure. Pronounced fruity notes. Strong taste of alcohol. In conclusion it is worth "to go back to the forest to stand face to face with the Wolf 7" :)

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a hazy light golden amber with a healthy, fine white three finger head with great retention and pillowy lacing. Aroma of candi malt, Belgian yeast, light citrus and banana and a hint of light stone fruit. Flavor is classic Belgian pale ale, lightly caramel malt, mixed light stone fruit, green apple and citrus, light clove. Finishes with light clove and neutral hop bitterness with pleasant residual light caramel and fruit. Medium bodied with peppery carbonation. A nicely made example of this style, spot on in flavor. Nothing sets this apart from the pack, but I'll be happy to get this again when I'm in the mood for a traditional Belgain pale, which I was this evening and this hit the spot.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/13/2013. Pours slight hazy deep golden color with a 2-3 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Incredible appearance. Aromas of big lemon, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, candi sugar, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a really excellence Belgian pale ale. All around great complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

10/12/13 On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. This is as smooth as it gets. Borders on buttery. Just a hint of spices. So light they're hard to distinguish. I could drink this all day but for the 7.4 ABV. Beware the Wolf!
