Perhaps this bottle didn't age well. Upon opening it, a distinct though light skunkiness was the primary aroma. A bit of skunkiness was present in the taste as well. Poured with no head and mild carbonation. It looked like Golden Ginger Ale. There was faint traces of yeast and some subtle flavors, but nothing distinct. It tasted like it may have been an okay brew when fresh. No hoppiness or maltiness, just a somewhat skunky taste with some yeast overtones.

Pours a hazy dark golden color, somewhat dark for the style, with a smallish white head that dissipates quickly. Tons of complexities to the aroma. Yeasty fruitiness of banana, orange, pepper, alcohol and a few other aromas that I can't even place. Somewhat thin on taste for the style. Smooth fruitiness of bananas and oranges and a nice pepery presence as well. Incredibly smooth and creamy, this is one very drinkable brew. Joe Z does it again. I love this guys brews and can't wait to try more of them.

This Triple needs some work. Dark honey color was a bit dark for the style and it poursed with little to no head (even with vigorous pour). The aroma is there: alcohol, slight mixed fruit including banana, wheat and vanilla. Yeast flavors overpowers the beer. It enters in the middle and remains to the finish. The body is thin but so is the flavor. Alcohol is present upfront but like most of the other flavors, it quickly subsides.

Mucho thanks to my friend JohnnyP for this sample. Medium-golden color, a touch cloudy, very fine head, which leaves mucho (!) lace down the glass. Nose had some yeasty-spiciness to it, but very much on the mild side. Medium body, but verrry nice on the tongue! Flavor has some mild-spiciness, hints of the yeast, and some fruity-type notes in there as well. I'd like them to be more pronounced, IMO. Good bier, overall...
