Stopped into this place with swedes on Saturday afternoon. I've been to a few other stores in the area that sell similar products but I wanted to try something new. The store itself is very nice; they sell mostly beer as well as a small selection of cold meats and cheeses. The store looks brand new and is very well kept. The beers are organized into different categories on the shelves (stouts, lagers, etc.) The prices seemed to be on par with other stores in the area; if not better. The selection is made up of about 90% Quebec beers. And the owner was on site while we were there and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the beers. I think I've found my new favorite Quebec microbrew store.

I visit this store on a semi-regular basis. Located about 15 minutes (by car without traffic) from the Ottawa downtown core, it is fairly easy to get to. The store is clean, well light and has a nice vibe to it. I do not speak any French, but the staff are bilingual and have no issue switching to English for me. I have spoken to owner/manager (?), Gilles, a few times and he is well informed about production dates, arrival times, new beers in development and is very friendly.

The store is mainly all Quebec microbrew which I say as a positive. They have an incredible selection and the product seems to turn over quickly. My only criticism of the store is how it is organized, by style: all the blondes together, all the stouts together, etc. I do see the benefit in this, a small store with a huge inventory, but I would prefer it if the beer were organized by brewery. A minor point.

Prices seem competitive with other dépanneurs, maybe a bit more.

Broue Ha Ha is a great store which truly showcases the wealth and variety of Microbreweries across Quebec.

Visited last weekend after hearing about this place through a friend. What a great find. Great selection and well laid out. Lots of singles, but 6-packs and combo packs as well. Great opportunity to sample 1 or 2 without shelling out for a 6 pack. Obviously the value of singles isn't as great a deal as when buying a 6-pack (expect to pay 25%+ or more per pint).

Owner knows his stuff. When asking specifically about Oatmeal stouts, gave me the pros and cons of 4 or 5 different brands. Brought them all home and he has been right on the 3 I have tried so far.

As others pointed out, this is mostly local, Quebec breweries, but some variety as well.

For those interested in cheeses, sausages and "different" types of potato chips, there is quite a selection.

Definately worth a try if you are in the Ottawa / Gatineau area, not hard to find and just a bit off the beaten path.

Living nearly seven hours from the Quebec border means that my opportunities to sample Quebec brews is limited to A) whatever the LCBO feels like offering at that particular moment, and B) whenever friends of mine are kind enough to bring back a few bottles for yours truly. Those who do have spoken highly of Broue Ha Ha, so when I recently found myself in the Ottawa-Gatineau area, I made special point of making my way into La Belle Province to check it out.

I was not disappointed.

The store is very well laid out, with the beers organized by style along the shelves. The vast majority of the brews are from Quebec, but there are a few Belgian ales and French offerings available as well. In addition to the beer, there is also a decent selection of local cider, cheese and sausages.

Lots of different offerings, including the usual suspects (Unibroue, Les Trois Mousquetaires, Charlevoix, and DDC - though admittedly a smaller selection of the latter than I would have liked). A few mixed boxes near the front of the store. Some newer/less common breweries as well, including Du Monde, Du Temps, and Grimoire. Several dozen singles available in the fridge. No Trou du Diable, unfortunately.

Service was good - for Anglos like me, breathe easy, because the staff are fluent, and quite helpful, though I never know what to ask of the staff to get the full treatment.

Prices weren't bad, with most bombers ranging from 4.99-9.99, and with a few specials going on. I was able to get a fairly substantial haul for around 100 bucks.

If you're in the Ottawa area, definitely the place to go for Quebec micros/crafts. Decently priced, good selection.

The place to buy beer now in Gatineau/Aylmer and dare I say Ottawa. Fairly good seletion for outside of the Montreal core. Friendly bright and clean store, not too small and filled with cheese and chocolate, chips and meats as well. The owner has gotten up to speed on what'savailable and yes, English is well spoken here. Well labelled. No specials, the prices seem fine. Parking right out front. The usual suspects all well laid out, more choice than at Omni. How can they top this? Growler fills, or growlers. Fairly busy.

Spinrsx and i decided to venture over to the "Dark side" and pick up a few beers. One of the few spots we have not been too, we figured it was worth a try.

Great selection, the majority are quebec beers. The facility is very clean and new. The layout makes it easy to wonder around and see the diff beers that are out.

Owner has taken the time to label each beer category and is always stocking, organizing the beers so they are right upfront where you want them. The store is well chilled, he keeps it at a comfy 68 F and no beers are in the windows to have sun exposure.

Had a great chat with the manager/owner, he is extremely friendly and able to help. Knows a lot about beer and even knew all about BA! For quebec, his english was great, like i said, very friendly and welcoming.

The prices were decent as well and a lot of singles.

Overall, i would love to go back and have it marked in my GPS! One of those go to places for Quebec beers!

Really nice bottle shop in a weird part of Gatineau. Not too hard to find. Great selection of Quebec micros and lot's of Unibroue, DDC, Charlevoix stuff I'll probably never see in Ontario plus a whole lot of other Quebec micros I plan on trying.

Dude working was polite and talkative. He spoke English and didn't seem upset to do so.

Prices seemed reasonable for what I was buying which was mostly 750mL bottles. I had no problem with what I was paying.

Well worth the trip across the border.

Will return!
