22oz bottle served in pint glass. Beer pours crystal clear and golden in color, with a giant white head. Not very aromatic, maybe a little piney? Hop-forward C hop flavors dominate. Aggressive and citrusy. Sharply carbonated and not much in the way of malt flavor to balance out this highly attenuated hop monster. The result is high in flavor but not so much in drinkability. But based on the outline of Oregon on the label beind the statement "WANDERLUST" I'd guess this is a beer which is proud of it's callous West Coast IPA phenotype.

22oz bomber, split
I dig breakside and they were out of Wanderlust on my only visit to the brewery so I was stoked to see their distribution hit Seattle and have this IPA wash up on our shores. Clear golden body - nice bubbly head. Very light on the eyes, and the palate - grassy, tangerine, bready malts. Nice and light, but underwhelming given my expectations - just prefer a more assertive hop profile I think.

A: Two inches of head, gold and crystal clear - like apple juice.
S: Very appealing fruity aroma. Melon, citrus, tropical fruit.
T: Nice and bitter. Maybe a little too bitter. Piney.

Hazed gold with almost two fingers of light cream color head. Retention is better than average with good amount of lace.
Smell is grapefruit pineapple a bit of dankness a touch of yeast and biscuit malt.
Taste is pink grapefruit pine resin deep bitterness just shy of overload. Malts are there but shoved aside by the hop resin aspect. Alcohol is faintly tasted probably due to the light malts.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side and carbonation is barely enough. Finish is on the dry side of medium.
Overall a tasty pale IPA. Although the resin aspect could be helped with a touch more of the fruitier hops or a little more malt. Those who crave the bigger resinous flavors will love this beer.
There was not a lot of pop when the cap was pulled and no bottle date.

Poured into a Chuckanut pint glass. Pours a clear, medium golden amber with a half finger white head that dissipates to a thin film and thick ring around the glass with lots of lacing. Nice aroma, evident immediately after opening the bottle, of pineapple, citrus hops and bready malt. Flavor follows with intense citrus, dominated by graperfruit, sweet biscuit and bready malt, more citrus and slightly piney hops. Medium bodied. A very nice, aromatic citrus forward IPA that tastes very fresh and appealing. As other reviewer have said, the aroma and taste are very much like a ripe, fresh grapefruit (which is great because I can't have real graperfruit any more due to medical restrictions). I feel like I got my vitamin C for the day. Although not that complex, the flavors it presents are excellent. I'll be revisiting this IPA and this brewery again.
