This beer is retired; no longer brewed.

"A blend of Belgian wheat beers that were all aged in inoculated Old Tom gin barrels. The blended beer was then aged for three months on soursop, a sweet and savory fruit from Southeast Asia and the Caribbean."

Because of blending and barrel-aging, the brewer estimated the (not calculated) ABV at between 6.0 - 8.0%.

Released on draught and in 750ml bottles December 2011

First had: on tap at their brewpub

Poured a hazy straw yellow with a healthy white head that left light patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma was a good balance of sweet and tart, notes of juniper, and bore semblance to a citrus martini. Taste was tart up front, almost like a lambic or wild ale, citrus and fruit flavor from the soursop (I assume, having never tasted soursop before), slightly lactic, with a wheaty acidity; gin was subtle and clean, which is good, since I do not care for said type of alcohol. Medium body, quite unique, and quite drinkable overall.
