Poured from a bomber into a Deschutes Teku glass.

A: Dark, Dark, brown...almost black. Nice fluffy, light khaki head. Slow dissipating, and nice lacing.

S: really disappointed in the nose of this beer. Aroma of typical dark malt, a slight bit of cocoa. Was expecting sweeter aromas.

T: dark, roasty malts. slight bittersweet chocolate and coffee flavors. Caramel is on the back end, but lacking. Saltiness is weak, but detectable on the finish.

M: pretty thin for a stout, more of a porter mouthfeel. Carbonation is light.

O: not a bad beer, just dissapoonted. Was expecting the advertised flavors to be stronger. $6/bomber isn't bad. Won't seek this out again, though.

Poured into a Reuben's Brew snifter. Pours a very dak mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass, with a half finger dark khaki head with good retention and lacing. Classic sweet stout aroma of dark toasted malt, milk chocolate a hint of vanilla. Flavor of toasted malt, semi-sweet chocolate, toffee, finishing with toasted malt with light char and mild grassy hop bitterness that is intensified by the mild saltiness. Medium bodied. An interesting sweet stout that has its sweetness restrained by the mild saltiness. Nicely designed to balance the sweet/salt flavor as neither is dominant. Good choice of toasted malts with just a hint of charring in the finish. I expected a bit more caramel character; the profile seems closer to an export stout that has been sweetened a bit. Probably pushed my salt and sugar rations for the day through the roof, but it was an enjoyable way to go

Pours black with a very light mocha head. 2 fingers and dissipates into light lacing on the glass. Smells more of malt than anything else. First taste is cocoa, roasty malt, ending with a slightly salted caramel finish. Mouthfeel sis decent, coats cheeks but no film on the teeth. Texture is about the same as skin milk. Pretty tasty, if I want a sweet stout if probably grab this over the creme brûlée from southern tier. Side note, this is a collaboration with our favorite ice cream shoppe, so it got my hopes up from the start.

Breakside Brewery 'Salt Caramel Stout' @ 6.7% , served from a 650 ml bottle purchased for $7

A-pour is a dark cola brown from the bottle to a near black in the glass with a medium size fine tan head which is leaving a spotty lace film along the pint

S-salt caramel

T-slight sweet start , creamy

MF-ok/good carbonation , big medium body

Ov-ok beer , decent American stout

22 oz bottle bought from "Roth’s Sunnyslope Market" in S.Salem. $5.99 Pours a dark brown colour with a large light tan head.. Aromas of caramel, toffee, slightly seaish, light roast coffee bean..some vanilla wafts by. Taste is again semi-sweet coffee, caramel, salt and slightly toasty. Palate is just fine..medium to heavy body and lowish carbonation..nice flavour profile. I liked this..unusual but i don't think its a stout..more a porter.
