I have no idea how this terrific beer hasn't been added yet to the database, but here it is August 2013 (almost 2 years after this beer earned a 2011 GABF Silver Medal in the English-Style Mild category)... Have had this beer several times from a slender pint at the NE Dekum pub... but the recent one was at the Mighty Mites Fest (Session Beers) in Portland, 8/18/13.

A: Deep cocoa brown, plenty of carbonation. Khaki head, a 1/2 finger of foam. Nothing phenomenal, but it's a reasonably attractive pour.

S: Nutty and laced with caramel and cocoa, although nothing too overpowering. A bready scent - let's say chocolate chip scone?

T: Mild chocolate, cereal grains with a toasty/roasty/slightly burnt finish.

M: Luscious, creamy feel from a body that is barely 'medium' in the mouth. Some lip-smacking maltiness, caramel/toffee sweetness lingers.

O: I have been blessed with many opportunities to sample from this style, but -DAMN- this is good. So easy to drink; a good balance but leaning toward sweetness/maltiness (the same direction my palate skews). 4% strength is very much appreciated, making it worthy of 2-3 at one sitting (at least).
