Warm turbid amber with a burnt ochre glow. Beautiful head with a crannied top. Reraining near perfectly.
Dry malty nose with a hint of seawater and a load of British hopping. Oyster cracker and rotting citrus rind. Aspirin powder and light Brett. Interesting.
Super dry earthy and aspirin-like hops with a sturdy toasty malt backbone. A whisper of funky tartness from the Brett. Faintly turned, on purpose of course, with aged hop flavors that remain gritty and a tad grassy. Notes of pine and Tang.
Good body. A solid drink with an inspired carbonation level.

Pours a ruddy light brown color with white head and plenty of lacing. The aroma is hoppy, a bit musty, and has a good bit of malt sweetness. The brew itself is bitter and hoppy, not really too much flavor from the Brett, possibly a light tang in the finish but besides that not noticeable. This is more of a straight forward English style IPA. Medium bodied feel. Overall, not a bad offering and it is tasty but probably should have aged more upon the Brett to bring out more complexities.

As was mentioned, this could use more time for the Brett to show up a good bit more. What is here though is mildy funky, almost like an accent. Which I have to think this is what they were aiming for on the historical front. I think it's interesting. Combination of hops with some citrus and a bit of a bite in it as well. I like it. No need to get all crazy with the Brett. This is experimentation gone right.
