A- hazy pale copper color with poor head and no lacing.
S- pungent tropical citrus fruits. smells like apple, grapefruit and pineapple.
F- strong on the grapefuit and citrus.
M- dry and citrus...just like an IPA should be. simple yet tasty.
O- Not a bad IPA. The flavor and mouthfeel saved it though. It is a nice fail safe if you are out somewhere.

This is a pretty straightforward IPA that utilizes the Chinook hops fairly well but doesn't show much more than a one dimensional show. Earthy and dirty with tones of citrus and pine. Got more earth as time went on. Not too bad really. Could use a bit more vibrance for my personal taste.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a cloudy dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. A bit of floaties in it. Smell is of hops, some tropical fruits. Taste is bitter, hoppy, a bit of tropical fruits, somewhat unbalanced for my liking. Feels medium bodied and bitter in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Chinookie pours a hazy orange color with a smaller, yet very persistent head. The aroma has a strong candied citrus hop blast. Caramel malts hang out in the back. The taste presents a good deal more hop bitterness than the nose, that takes most of the brunt out of the candied fruits and citrus on the nose. The mouthfeel seems a bit too light, and the drinkability is solid. Overall, another good IPA. There's not enough room in my fridge for a good IPA when so many great ones are available though.

Poured from a 12 FL OZ bottle into a pint glass. BEST BY MAY2013. LOT 281.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy brown body with a thin white head. Beer is very "thick" looking.
Smell: Citrusy hop aroma. Somewhat sweet in the nose.
Taste: VERY HOPPY. Bordering on Stone Ruination territory. The bottle label talks about this beer being hopped four times during the brewing process and then dry hopped, all of which is very evident. Grapefruit, tropical fruits and a pine finish. This is actually delicious.
Mouthfeel: Very thick and leaves quite an aftertaste.
Overall: I tend to prefer hoppy ales with light bodies, but at the same time will knock beers I perceive as too "watery". This has a fairly light body (as evident in the 6.2 ABV), but has a ton of hop flavor. My taste buds want to shout Stone Ruination clone, but it is not quite as refined.
