Hop-laden haze in a toast amber-colored beer. The bone-white head forms a solid crown with a matte finish. Retains exceptionally.

Hunky Chinook hops with big pithy grapefruit and spiny pine notes. Hints of hemp oil, oyster cracker, and black tea bag. Faint whiffs of mint. Very pronounced hop aroma with a lurking toasty grain malt base.

Severely bitter, as Chinook hops tend to be. Bruising with pine, sandalwood, grapefruit whites, peppermint, and astringent herbals. Tea-like maltiness and minerally water are getting lost behind this hop-slaught. The finish is medium-to-long and a little peppery. They write full-bodied on the label, and I get that they mean that this IPA is brimming with residual hop oils clamming up the body. This must be what it feels like when you drink dish soap water. Raucous IPA.

A - copper amber hazy appearance. Nothing noteworthy, not offsetting, just not inviting. No head, and no lacing.

S - earthy, some pine, fairly pungent, yet one dimensional

T - bitterness comes first and foremost, and lingers. Missing any layers. Malt tries to balance, but this is again, a one dimesional bitter beer.

M - I take this as light to monderate. Thin best describes it. Lingering bitterness

O - overall, I am disappointed, chinook hops definitely present, maybe over done. I like bitter finish to my ipa's, but this was just bitter throughout. I did not get any fruit, if its there, it's the pith, not the peel. This one missed for me, and is a one and done.

Appearance – This poured a beautiful, thick, dingy orangeish-brown with a modest but staying head.

Smell – The Chinook comes out in force at the nose, definitely dry-hopped, with a small but noticeable malt base.

Taste – The Chinook is a little heavy, so if you like the hop you’ll love this beer but if not you might say it lacks diversity. The malts are second-rate players but present and accounted for.

Mouthfeel – This is big for the style, larger than medium-bodied, with some stiff but withstandable drying.

Drinkability – This one will put hair on your chest. It’s incredibly smooth all things considered.

Pours rusty amber in color. Slightly hazy with off white creamy head and nice lace. Lazy bubbles float to the surface.

Smells floral with hings of pineapple or mango. Slightly sweet with tropical fruit notes balanced well with a hop bitterness. Tangy and dry, finshes a bit astringent. Bitterness lingers long after you've finished.
