Pours a small tan head with decent retention and spotty lacing. Brew is a dark brown, almost purplish black.

Aroma is of coffee, cocoa, and roasted barley, roughly in that order. Fairly mild but pleasant.

Flavor starts off thin, with cream, cocoa, coffee, and a nicely balanced bitterness. Coffee and bitterness come through slightly stronger as it warms.

Brew is fairly thin with a lively mouthfeel. Medium length wet finish. Very drinkable.

This is a pretty decent coffee porter. I find that I just want a little more from it, almost across the board: more aroma, more flavor, more body.

Courtesy of SomethingClever, Thank you Beer Brother!

This has the characteristics of a Porter. Poured black with dark brown hues. Nice khaki head. Looks pretty solid. Smells of coffee and caramel with a faint mushroom earthiness. Time to to taste! First hits of sautéed mushrooms and coffee. Caramel is in full flavor toward the finish. This finishes clean with a slight bitterness. The feel is light-thin and tight poppy carbonation.

Overall: This beer is above average yet isn't as adventurous as some coffee porters. I like the caramel and coffee they work nice hand and hand. It's not acidic like some coffee Porters/Stouts tend to be, so that's a plus! I could drink this all day long/night. This brew is worthy!

A: I always pour soft so I don't notice this well, it's dark and beautiful but I poured it with no head

S: Great coffee smell deep rich inviting you to taste it

T: Unlike a lot of coffee beers this one lets you taste the base beer which I enjoy so much you get that sweet roast slight burnt just a hint of chocolate from a great porter then you taste coffee afterwards.

M: very good body not stupid thick like an amazing porter but what you expect from a porter very solid

O: I'm supremely pleased about this beer I'm sick of coffee beers being pure coffee then nothing else this one is like hey there is a base beer here check out it's amazing taste and then a zap of coffee

this is a good porter. its smooth, sweet, with a spicy kick, bitter coffee, strong on the nose as well. however not overpowering. also faint notes of chocolate blending with the coffee bean note. some burnt/roasted malt. very dark, creamy, fluffy feel. pours beautifully as well, dense dark/tan head. in my book an A- or B+ beer
