Served from tap into a Black & Blue III shaker. Poured a nice slightly hazy golden yellow with a one finger pure white head that subsided to a minimal amount very slowly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, banana, clove, bread, and subtle spices. The flavor was of sweet malt, banana, clove, and spices. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty good brew. At first I was skeptical about this one as it can be hard to pull off a Belgian Pale Ale while keeping it balanced, but Nantahala was able to pull this one off if you ask me. It was quite refreshing and all of the flavors present were very nice. The aroma also came across as very well balanced and inviting. A definite must try from them if you get the chance or are just a Belgian Pale Ale fan looking for your fix. Tick.

This is a very good American Blonde...not Belgian by any stretch of the imagination! Dirty Girl does not have any of the wheat-heavy tastes normally associated with the Belgian's I've tried. If you're looking for a easy drinking, well rounded ale, Nantahala's hit this one out of the park! Enjoyed both draft at the brewery and 22 oz bombers...same great taste.
