Tried this at the brewery which took forever to get a pint. Anyways, a black hued color with not much head or retention. The nose was yeasty. Some roast and malt but subtle. A light fruity thing but not big. The taste was a bit muddled. I was looking forward to this one but a little off. I liked the coffee notes though. A bit watery but over a good beer.

Poured a dark black/brown. Almost opaque, but red hints in the light with a thick cap of tan that sticks around and leaves huge walls of sea foam lace.
The aroma is dark chocolate and roasted coffee, some earthy notes throughout with a hint of smoke.
The flaovrs follow with a nice balance between roasted flavors, toffee, and caramel. Nice dark chocolate and earthy hops balance things out.
Overall, a bit thin, but a great tasting and easy drinking porter. Very nice balance of flavors.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
Poured a brown-black with a nice cap of tannish head that retained as a patchy layer. Roasty aroma, as would be expected. Dark malts in the taste, coffee notes, slightly earthy, with a definite hop presence in the background. Smooth, even if a bit on the thin side; just over the median of being medium-bodied. Interestingly complex, and easily drinkable.

This great little porter appeared dark, nearly black and opaque in my pint glass. The head was very thin, light and tan. Despite the lack of volume, it left some nice lacing and rings down the glass.
The beer smelled of dark, roasted malts and burnt toast with coffee and cocoa notes melded in. The body was medium in character with some really fine bitter chocolate overtones in the taste. Very agreeable!
The rich, roasted, chocolate taste takes this porter to a slightly higher level than its smell and appearance would suggest. Well worth checking out...

Pours black with a nice khakie head. Aroma is dark and roasty with some burntness; roasted barley, black coffee, and some bakers chocolate. Flavor is bold. Dark roastiness that offers some burntness and nice bitterness. Coffee beans, dark chocolate, roasted barley, with an evolving aftertaste of burnt coffee. A creamy, medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, another great dark beer from Equinox. Equinox can really do no wrong in my eyes when it comes to brewing a stout or porter.

This is on the beer engine currently so I *had* to give it try.
A pitch black brew with a 1 finger head of foam, this looks strikingly like a Guinness poured from a nitro can or bottle. That is always impressive and I easily give it a 4.5 for appearance
The smell had light notes of roasted malt, a bit of sweetness, and a good substantial nose of bitterness from the hops.
The taste has the roasted malt on top with light notes of grain sweet malt, and a hop bitterness that works in conjunction with the roasted malt. I love the level of bitterness I get in this American Porter.
The mouthfeel was super creamy and smooth. Something I'd expect given the serving style and there was no denying that it lived up to my expectations.
Drinkability? Everything worked with this cask offering....look, smell, taste, mf, drinkability, and temp it was served at. I couldn't ask much more....
