Pours a hazy, firey orange with a thick foamy off white head that last for the duration. Great lacing. Aroma and flavor both offer a tangerine, bread, and moderate or so grassy bitterness. An active moutfhfeel, nothing special about it otherwise. Overall, an alright IPA. I'll stick with other Equinox offerings next time I hit up the brewery.

Some friends brought me a growler of this for my birthday. Awesome!
A - Poured a clear, copper color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy rings of thin lace on the glass.
S - It smelled of pine, toasted malt and light citrus notes.
T - It tasted of pine/resin with a bitter bite. A touch of orange with a sweet caramel backbone. Some bread crust and toffee.
M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A medium bodied ale with a dry finish.
O - This is a really tasty IPA. I'd like to try more from this Fort Collins brewery.

It poured a hazy amber with a descent white head, good retention, and walls of lace.
The aroma is very tropical and full of citrus. Pineapple, orange, grapefruit, and pine are all present, but grapefruit dominantes the nose. Toasty, nutty malts are lost behind the pungent nose.
The flavors bring forth a clean, crisp malt out of hiding. Nice balance of toast, nuts, and pine melt behind a huge wall of grapefruit pith, and orange peel. Delicious, tropical, fruity and hoppy.
Crisp and clean. Not as oily as most IPAs.
Very great job on the IPA. More drinkable than most this full of flavor.

Hazy amber color. Transparent, but with some definite cloud. Pours a finger width head.
S: Being an IPA, the hops dominate the smell.
T: Hops are certainly present, but not as strong as other IPAs. A malt taste accompanies the usual bitterness.
M: Pretty light bodied, particularly for an IPA. It's all rather clean, without the lingering in the mouth one might expect from the type.
D: The beer strikes a good balance between the heavier IPA taste with a crisper mouthfeel, making for one of the most drinkable IPAs I've had. It's not quite as strong as most IPAs and may be a little blander, but it's a smooth drink and not overwhelming.
I'll admit that IPAs aren't usually my favorite, so I think the somewhat weaker taste and lighter body actually make it an advantage for me. I'm looking forward to having this one again.

Enjoyed Saturday May 22, 2010, this was the dry hopped with Cascade version.
A full 20oz pint, I enjoyed watching the cascading head...it poured a cloudy orange copper colour with, eventually, a 1 finger head of foam.
The smell is grapefruit deluxe with some spiciness and a hint of tropical fruits. Great nose.
The taste started with grapefruits, some mango like tropical fruitiness, more hoppiness with pine, and just to give it some balance, a light dusting of caramel malt. Holy crap! Sitting there with this pint was an almost surreal experience for this lad from Wyoming!
On the light side of medium bodied with low carbonation but not too low, it had a creamy texture that knocked my sox off.
Drinkablity? I was so sad that it was the only one I had as I had to move on, I almost shed a tear. This is the BEST IPA that I've ever had that didn't come out of a bottle. An Amazing brew with amazing drinkability!
