Pours black with a nice fat mocha head and nice lacing. A nice rich, sugary aroma filled with some coffee, roasted barley and and some chocolate.Flavor is quite similar but with the awesome addition of a nice, bitter finish. Hell's yeah. Mouthfeel was on the fuller end of the spectrum, slight creaminess to it but still room for improvement with this component. Overall, I really dug this one from the get go and I love it even more now. I am a complete sucker for oatmeal stouts and I would have to say that this is my favorite oatmeal stout brewed in this fine state of Colorado, and one of my favorites of the style overall. Definitely one of Fort Collins gems.

A: Very very dark pour, almost black. Tan head quickly dissipates.
S: Nice smell. Coffee comes first, chocolate with it. There's a good amount of sweetness in there. The smell promises a lot.
T: Which the taste fails to live up to. Not that it's a bad taste, just milder than expected. A little more watery than I'd like. Coffee, as with the scent, comes first with some chocolate and roasted malt. Not a bad taste, but after the smell and directly after trying the great Pazuzu, this one comes up short.
M: Mouthfeel is also a little lacking, with less body than I'd like.
It's a solid stout, fairly average and that really defines it. Could be so much better.

Poured into a mug. A healthy yet modest light-tan head sits over a dark brown ale.
Smells of dark cocoa with a bit of roasted malt. This smells delicious.
Flavor isn't as acute as the aroma, but the roasted and chocolate malts are well balanced.
Feels a bit watered down for an oatmeal stout, not really too smooth.
I certainly enjoyed this. Great taste, great aroma. Another great beer by Equinox.
