Great IPA- lots of grapefruity citrus flavors, balanced by a piney, resinous and dank flavor. A gem of a West-Coast style IPA that shouldn't ever be overlooked.
Easily competes with Odell IPA as the best IPA in town!

From notes taken 9/14 at the source.
A striking pine nose emanates from this light orange brew. A substantial malt backbone supports a huge grapefruit center. Some other light fruits are noticed. Medium in body and dry for the most part.
A straight forward dialed in IPA.

This beer is amazing. It's the little brother to Kane Overhead. Super attack your senses hop bomb for a single, tropical, citrus, Pitney, bitter, just an awesome in your face ipa. Love this beer, can't wait to get more next year!

Looks and smells nice. Slightly hazy orange. Smells of melons and citrus. Some breadiness as well. The taste follows the nose. Somewhat mild in flavor but way too bitter. it's lingering on the back of my tongue in a bad way. Not balanced.

not a bad ipa, but this was my least favorite beer i had at equinox out of quite a few. its the least inventive one they had, although its not poorly made, its just generic. leaning in the west coast direction, with a pretty high oil content going on and some real bitterness on the back end. simcoe hops seem to be in here, maybe some cascade too, i smell pineapple and fresh milled lumber, and that weird cat pee thing i sometimes get from citra hops. its fine beer, but it feels a little heavy on the palate, maybe a little too much grain weight to it, and maybe a little light on the carbonation. the beer tastes real fresh and i like the flavor of the cereal malt beneath all these hops, but something is missing, something more than a distinguishing element, not sure i can place it, but i got through a glass no problem. almost all the other beer at equinox was amazing, while this one was more middle of the road.

Yellow-tan with a touch of haze and pretty good lacing.
Aroma stands out especially. tons of dank and funk. Bartender knows her beer quite well and points out Columbus and simcoe hops (I can taste both, esp. simcoe).
Mouth is a bit on the dry side, almost a gin-like after taste leaving you thirsty. But the extreme dryness does bring out the dank and funk from the simcoe, as well as leave you with a lingering dry bitterness.
Another customer and I agree it's damn fantastic stuff.
