I can sum-up Equinox in one word: underwhelming.

I was thrilled to have another brewpub to visit in Fort Collins and so close to Coopersmiths as well. The vibe at Equinox wasn't working for me as it felt like an art gallery means mom & pop coffee shop. It didn't feel like a brewpub or beer place at all. It felt cozy, yes but too stuffy and not "fun." The look of the place is not a knock as the clean, modern yet woody look could be cool... I just found it to be a tad uptight and drab. Still, all can be forgiven with good beer and good service.

The service at our visit was fine, we stopped in mid-afternoon on a Friday and there were a handful of people throughout the fairly small place. We ordered three beers at the small bar in the back. The bartender was nice and quickly served us our beers. We found a table in the room next-door.

One of us got the pale ale, the other got an ESB, and I got the IPA. The pale ale was the best of the bunch. It was largely forgettable however. The ESB was off. There was an odd peatiness and yet overly caramely flavor at the finish. One even called it metallic. My IPA claimed to be 70+ but it didn't taste the part, it was too malty and sluggish. We finished our pints, paid up and left. Once outside the three of us kind of all said at once, "That was it?"

We heard the good buzz about Equinox but I didn't get it. First impressions are everything and mine was mixed at best. Bottom-line, I didn't think the beers was that great. I'll try it again next time I'm in Fort Collins but it is nothing I will recommend people to seek out.

this is one of the coolest little breweries in fort collins. its got a very earthy hippy organic vibe to it, like it would belong better in boulder or something, but the space is great, semi divided into different rooms, comfortable furniture and an oddly shaped but ideally placed bar. plenty of beers on to choose from, all with creative names and recipes to match. the belgian wit on cask was awesome, they had a delicious barrel aged porter, as well as a couple of belgian styles that hit their marks. the staff was real friendly and also fit the hippy organic vibe pretty well. they informed me this place has been open almost five years, looks like they are off and running really well in that time, with a few gabf medals adorning the walls. i liked the wide range of styles and the cozy atmosphere of the building. this is definitely a place to stop into when in downtown fort collins, its close to everything and very interesting compared to other local breweries. they have carved out a cool little identity for themselves, and the beers were great.

Another very good brewery in Fort Collins. I've been there several times. Earlier in the days and evenings it is suitable for families. Later at night it gets packed. They have outdoor seating.
Beers are all good. Service has generally been fine. They have some cool swag to buy as well.

Great spot in Fort Collins, and worth a drive if you are in the Denver metro area for anything. Two entrances/exits, and the space is like two hallways, one twice as long as the other. The first one, on the left, walks you past some wooden bar seating as you make your way to the main bar, which wraps around into the second hallway/space. Long, cement poured bar. Slick. All the way out back, there is patio seating. Also, there is a small stage on the right hand side for live music. There is also some table seating here and there. Very bright and clean all the way through. Great spot. Beer to go in multiple growler forms...standard glass 64 oz, double lined metal and ceramic 64 oz that will remain cold 24 hours, and a plastic growler at 83ish oz. Great staff, great beer, all in a great town. Awesome place.
