Come for the Art Deco, stay for the Gueuze...If you like old school art deco and service, this is your place...the Gueuze is not bad either! Great selection of Belgian and Lambics (brewed with the A La Mort Subite label) and Belgian Restaurant Fare...Fell in love with Kip Kap and is a must have with every visit.

Visited on my last night in Belgium after hearing a lot about it. Wasn't overly impressed with the selection, mostly stuff available elsewhere for cheaper with the odd exception. Service wasn't great either, a bit snooty and slow at times. Not sure it's somewhere I'd come back to sadly although the decor was unique and nice to see.

We went here about 8:00 p.m. on a Tuesday. It was about 1/5 full.
It is a pretty space with tall ceilings, cool pillars, some nice old décor, etc. It is lived in but not dingy. This to me is a classic Brussels Bar.
They had a decent selection of beers. Nothing really rare or hard to find, but good stuff for any beer lover.
The food our group had was ok, nothing bad but nothing really memorable.
Service started out great and then lost interest as it got closer to closing time.
I enjoyed my stop here but liked other places in Brussels much better.

Very old place with some cool history and a mellow vibe. Food and beer were good. Service was very friendly to me and my family- a group of very obvious tourists from the USA. Food is good but simple. Selection is pretty solid with an assortment of Trappist beers, beers from the Mort Subite brewery (obviously), and 4 or 5 rotating selections which is pretty cool

I was there about 1.5 years ago and it was a great place to stop in for a drink. A few beers and a meat and cheese plate. The staff was friendly to foreigners and the drink menu was decent. A great place to stop.

The vibe is incredible - they haven't done much to it for a century or so. they feature beer from Mort Subite but if those don't strike your fancy there are 30 or bottled and craft beers on tap. It's a nice place to stop and have a sandwich and a beer.

This is a fantastic and really beautiful beer hall that's been in the family for three-generations (since ~1890). It's been at this location since 1910 and it looks as if all the fixtures are original! Even my wife, who doesn't drink, loved it. You don't see places like this in the US. It's densely packed with small tables just large enough to hold four beers and a few plates. Perfect for sitting with a group and enjoying some suds and grub. The staff was great. Brussels is very cosmopolitan and the people are used to non-tourist foreigners and make you feel at right at home (unlike some "other" French-speaking countries...). This place was no exception. It's a few minutes walk from Grand Place and worth a visit. I didn't eat here but the food looked plain but very good. The selection of beers was respectable (a dozen or so taps, plus bottles). I'm not a Geuze fan, but did enjoy my Orval. Definitely would put his on your list if you're remotely close.
